SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Interesting news broke late last night as the St. Louis Stadium task force has inked a naming rights deal with National Car Rental which is owned by STL company Enterprise, this bodes well for the city’s ability to support an NFL team but Tim wonders if it really has an impact on Stan Kroenke and the Rams, we don’t have to kiss the ring of the task force like perhaps some in the local media do, The Cat wonders if Kroenke would even be interested in National’s $158 million considering how much he could get in a stadium naming rights deal in Los Angeles, Doug is still hoping that Stan won’t be allowed to move because he never made a good faith effort in St. Louis, Tim cites Ray Hartmann’s article from yesterday which says that the proposed stadium could cost taxpayers millions more than previously expected, Sports on Earth writer & Deadspin founder Will Leitch checks in to discuss the stadium saga and preview the Cardinals playoff run, Colby Rasmus’ tattoo is Tim’s avatar for Fantasy Sports, the Blues Jays finna rake, Jerry Jones said the $158 million Enterprise deal would only buy a lobby in Los Angeles which causes Doug to call him a blowhard.
SEGMENT 2 – Boys Club brings us back on a Ween Wednesday, Daniel Kaplan of the Sports Business Journal joins us from the NFL Owners Meetings to discuss the story he broke about the Stadium Naming Rights Deal, Tim thinks it would set a dangerous precedent for the league to ignore a stadium deal (if the funding is in place) in market #21, Doug still finds it hard to believe that NFL Owners would side against Dean Spanos since he’s been a good soldier, plenty of reaction to the Naming Rights story and Ray Hartmann’s piece about funding on The Appliance Discounters phone lines, Caller Adam checks in to discuss grass seed and ends up exchanging verbal fisticuffs with Doug, Paul from the Wealthy Part of West County is next with a follow-up on the grass topic, Big Al is up next with advice for a healthy lawn and finds himself in the Llywelyn’s Pub Suspension Logule, Blues center Paul Stastny joins the program to preview tomorrow night’s season opener.
SEGMENT 3 – Rich from Maryland Heights in Arizona calls in to take his medicine for the Cardinals losing to the Rammies on Sunday, Hall of Fame Cardinals reporter Rick Hummel joins the program to discuss the NLDS and tonight’s Wild Card game between the Cubs and Pirates, the Ray Hartmann story is starting to make it’s way around the country, Jeanne Zelasko said on Los Angeles radio that Kroenke has Farmer’s lined up for a naming rights deal in Inglewood, Plow Boy locked his keys in the car when going to get smokes, the Shrewsbury Seminary Student sneaks in with a surprise phone call.
SEGMENT 4 – Cardinals reliever and noted fan of The Cat, Seth Maness, joins the program to preview the NLDS and review his suspension from Doug.
SEGMENT 5 – Email of the Day.
