SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Captain’s log, Doug trying to go blue…, support those sponsors, weather not looking the best, Tim at a wedding out of town this weekend, best wedding presents, give cash like they do in “Goodfellas”, The Cat at the Homers for Health event with Chuck Woolery last evening at BPV, might stop saying ‘3-1-4′ in our phone/text number, idea of making St. Louis bigger than it is, stoplights quite useless downtown, tough to get out of Busch Stadium with Arch area construction, back to the wedding thing…, Doug believes either Jake Allen or Brian Elliott will start for the Blues, hearing from Rich Gould plus Ken Hitchcock on the pillow stacking situation, don’t believe Hitch has snapped at any media since arriving here, interviewing Tony La Russa while he’s getting done with shower or eating cereal, Doug cannot see how cereal is appetizing after baseball, Stanley Cup Playoffs drop the puck this evening, Blues-Wild begin tomorrow, Cardinals continue their home stand this evening, be nice to pony up downtown doing some journalism, pundits picking the series, have to play to see…, can’t just go by predictions from writers, admiring Doug’s aqua shirt this morning, DraftKings doings, shippin’ games, all about AirPicks.com, we trust The Cat to handle any money, thinking the Royals will not lose this season, Redbirds moving forward & concern about offense plus bullpen that we’ll nerd out about as the season progresses.
SEGMENT 2 – #WeenWednesday, support the sponsors, calling a car ‘whip’, wondering what makes someone a ‘cool’, Doug use to refer to his vehicles as ‘wheels’, some Kanye lyrics, Doug very confused, The Cat trying to translate, Doug finds this Kanye to be a jive turkey, “f’ing RAV 4″…, rejecting Volvos, that was all about the origin of ‘whip’, wondering when we’re considered old, various answers on the topic, someone wanted to hear Cal May talking with Jason Heyward, “sick…”, more details about the wonderful Homers for Health event, that Chuck Woolery is no geezer, delivering on deep tease, tough day for San Diego stadium project, hearing from NFL Exec Eric Grubman on the subject, ‘plan may have been bludgeoned’ according to Nick Canepa of U-T San Diego, feels like Chargers are in horrible shape just like the Raiders, hello Raiders, going first person with Raiders & excited about signing of Michael Crabtree.
SEGMENT 3 – Love that Dean and Gene Ween…, something funny behind the glass about names, Doug upset with his DraftKings performance, thinking our guest just hung up on us…, back to the fantasy frustration, Kevin Allen of USA Today joins the show, covering Blackhawks-Predators this evening, playoffs have their own momentum, Preds obviously did not finish the season well, who he thinks will be in the net for the Blues, knows that Hitch likes to go with hot hand (Allen) yet Kevin prefers the veteran option (Elliott), has been the ‘year of the goalie’, Wild have been the best statistical team since the All-Star Break yet do not match up with the Blues in all areas, love the skills of the Blues especially on the back line, wondering if Vladimir Tarasenko can take his game to the next level, did not think much of the Devan Dubnyk acquistion when the deal was made, likes the Blues to win the series, label Elliott as ‘caretaker’ goalie based on how Blues deal with the All-Star netminder, no one was talking about Jonathan Quick until he won in the postseason, psychological leap for Blues who have never won more for fans than actual team, predictions for Finals include Blues vs Rangers yet likes the NY team to win it all, have to learn in playoffs before learning to win sometimes, would think Blues would learn to win after so much losing, would be okay with Stanley Cup Finals appearance especially at Madison Square Garden, taking show on the road, eating one of those NY hot dogs from a street vendor, somewhat of a risk, Alpena has experience, fear of rat on a stick, wrong that we had to pay for extra sauce at Raising Canes, vendors in the area, that guys outside Penthouse in Sauget, might get a match for Alpena to do some boxing, likeable sort behind the glass, Plow Boy going to ballgame with Willie tomorrow, Plow Girl going with another friend tomorrow, confusion over sitting/going together, Plow Girl’s trip to KC without Plow Boy, texters especially Justin in Columbia going after Plowsie, some sympathy/empathy for our board-op, double standard…, setting some ground rules for #FFF with Plow Girl, anything beats candy corn or circus peanuts are the worst according to Doug…, shot fired at Willie…, going to be long Thursee with businessman special for Cardinals plus late start for Blues, not going to take advice from listeners, Iggy calls, apparently met ‘Jimmy the bull’, he showed him pics of his junk, no curiousity from Doug…, still not sold that Jimmy is a genuine ‘bull’, hiding in closet…, received invitation to do show from Hedonism, organizing the rooms, nobody here wants to pay for this trip, ballpark figure for trip, being naked with each other, doesn’t have to be all naked, Iggy liberating himself…, couple bringing him to room for cuckold…, Doug could do “Sports Sunday” from Hedonism…, relying on our swinger couple friends, Willie skeptical about going, taking nude vacation with listeners, Big Al calls, he’ll go to Hedo…, Plow Boy not too bullish on going, something about plowing in pink tractor, listeners having sex with each other…, planning out the financials for trip & suspension earned.
SEGMENT 4 – “Push Th’ Little Daisies”, Mike Lee not there…, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, early season surprises such as the Braves, looking at Lance Lynn who’s on the hill this evening, thinking that Lynn can reach next level (20 wins), same from Michael Wacha who still needs to pitch whole season at big league level, impressed with Kolten Wong at the plate so far, concern about Yadier Molina early in the season considering some trends at the plate that have carried over from Spring Training, did not see Yadi hit for power last season either, Redbirds should not rely on Yadi to be on of their prime offensive players, impressed with Royals 7-0 start considering how they finished 2014 season, KC’s bullpen still together, lineup producing more than we expected, interesting to see two of the top teams in AL Central Division which most of us considered to be weak, might actually see Royals fans buy tickets for Cardinals series, surprising to see 2-6 start from the highly-touted Nationals, only seventh game for Cards though season has been about eleven days long, support the sponsors, Aaron Hernandez found guilty for first degree murder, former NFL star just pure evil, different personalities on and off the field, reaction from social media, no idea how these well-paid sports stars still get themselves into serious trouble, still waiting for that encoder, maybe lost in the mail & deep tease.
SEGMENT 5 – “Ween” mailed in this song…, Tim scouting Blackhawks-Predators for Blues this evening, support the sponsors, meltdown video from Dennis Quaid, sounds like a fake…, maybe just promoting action for Iggy’s Hedonism trip, hearing from Chris Moneymaker, nice guy who’s helped Tim with poker, issue of online gambling being compared to fantasy & Email of the Day.
