SEGMENT 2 – Jason Isringhausen & Jason Motte: Former closer likes to carry a fungo bat around the Spring Training complex, Jason does not miss being a part of the game besides the competition aspect, breaking down the true sad role of being in sports media interviewing players after a game win or loss, Jason agrees with Tim’s prediction of the Cardinals possibly having a big regular season, looking for more guests in that clubhouse, the Rusky’s hockey team is in trouble with those Fins, Jason Motte sits down at the picnic table, he cannot believe their discussion is going over the air, BROKEN GLASSES…, his recovery and road back to the mound, ready to pitch when asked, Jason’s charity work raising money and awareness for cancer research, more information can be found on the Jason Motte Foundation website (www.jasonmottefoundation.org/Ž) & Cat’s son has dubbed Jason as “Summer Santa”.
SEGMENT 3 – Doug enjoying the live stream, Willie apparently pals around with the Cardinals brass, Cat enjoyed a meal from Lutina’s the night before, the texters getting salty, only a little feedback after Doug revealed the names of the emailers, pulling clips while on remote can only be done with the logger, Doug disappointed in the questions asked or not asked this morning, Hot Pockets being stuffed with rancid meat, Joe Kelly stretching near the broadcast, RUSSIA LOSES, poor little Putin, discussion of Star Trek plus Dick Sargeant & Dick York.
SEGMENT 4 – Question of the Day: Asking the players about their favorite cut of french fry, waffle fries seem to be the runaway winner, some Carpenter treatment, JBoyd in the way of cameras trying to get some video & Cardinals beat writer Jenifer Langosch big timed for Matt Holliday and Randy Choate.
SEGMENT 5 – Jim Edmonds: Check out the wonderful PGA National deal for Cardinals’ fans while visiting the club in Jupiter, friend of the show Jim Edmonds stops by the picnic table, his role as a coach, how he approaches the players or vice versa, the excitement over the potential for this team heading into the regular season, working with the media, reviewing the Question of the Day & wondering if the younger Cardinals players would know the more famous ones.
