SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Tim returns, quite the captains log, big doings for EOTD, High Holy Day of radio, April Fools Day, cannot prank call anymore, weather getting more nice outside, roller blading topless, might do feature for “Sports Sunday”, Doug knows where to find the topless roller bladers, sudden death championship for emailers, reaching out through Facebook fan page, hub of information for this show, doings on the page, topic of weirdest place someone has listened to the show, Doug’s suspension jurisdiction reaches the Facebook fan page, big show for the Plow Boy thus far, interesting tweet by Plow Girl last evening, Plow Boy tells us about their tickle sessions, #cucklife, another suspension…, Tim drawn to the vile, Tim staying up too late in Las Vegas, sleeping whilst flying, thrashing like the dickens on the airplane, two EOTD sessions this morning, hanging with Chris Pelikan out in Vegas, Pelikan did not get the opportunity to mop Tim’s brow, unfortunately Tim got knocked out early, made the right play…, hanging with some other journalists, wanting to sprint after some drinks, having some scotch while watching some kind of sprint contest in the middle of a 5-star casino floor, busted by security when trying to record this 40-yard dash inside the casino area, skateboards okay…, Pelikan ran a 6.1, then suddnely too much heat around the bar, running on carpeted floor with dress shoes, tough for Doug to sprint after achilles issue, Anna-Marie enjoying her bachelorette party, seeing some impressive DJs in the club, spending $8,000 on booze, Doug possibly DJ’ing one day in Vegas, gentleman hitting on Tim’s wife, “tell me what your fantasy is…”, charming the ladies with french fry talk…, seeing Caroline Rhea plus Elayne Boosler on the floor, some show from the 80s, David Hunn of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, development over the past 24 hours in which Governor Nixon tells St. Louis County that they are not needed to contribute financially to the stadium project, did not want anything put to a vote, wondering how else the project would be financed if STL County does not bring millions, NFL wants proposal put together as soon as possible, NFL does not want any loose ends (waiting for county vote would compromise), current breakdown of financial plan, each funding stream relies on the other, compare the situation to a mortgage, if the NFL accepts STL plan then league will make sure team is here, still not sure what forces Stan Kroenke to pay or negotiate, confidence in those planning the project, good reasons why planners are not telling us anything or everything, learning that private investor becoming more likely, issue of keeping The Dome going too, still over $100M of debt left on the 20-year-old building, other cities out there with similar struggles, things certainly seem worse in San Diego plus Oakland, “the devil is in the details”, the next step involving STL group making proposal to league, then up to 32 NFL Owners to make decision, those owners can be quite fickle, interesting take on private investor becoming involved, could be individual or corporation, could be Tim…, moving new plans to Francis Park in St. Louis Hills & benefits to being owner of professional sports franchise.
SEGMENT 2 – #WeenWednesday, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, really liking the play from Randal Grichuk, might only be able to play once or twice a week, do not want to platoon Jason Heyward, mostly see Peter Bourjos as pinch-runner or defensive sub, Carlos Martinez getting the official nod, expect to Marco Gonzalez at some point, best news out of Spring Training would be healthy starting rotation (except Jaime Garcia), everyone who showed as healthy has stayed healthy (cannot count Garcia), some troubles from Kevin Siegrest, some ample concerns with left-handed relief pitcher, Cardinals do not seem to concerned about left-handed relief pitcher after trading Sam Freeman, right-handed relief pitchers certainly have some success against left-handed hitters, going to eventually need someone from the left side, thoughts on the Chicago Cubs keeping Kris Bryant at the AAA level to begin the regular season, considering futures from Vegas looking at the Central Division as well as the National League, could see similar ball clubs in the postseason once again, not counting on the San Francisco Giants, most overrated ball club looks to be the San Diego Padres after their active off-season, expecting some big numbers from the rights side of the field for the Redbirds in Matt Adams plus Jason Heyward, concern about the offense going into the season, not so sure that drastic upgrades were made, Tim may have been negotiating stadium finance while away, hearing more from that text line, haven’t heard from Jimmy ‘the bull’, flying back from Las Vegas, hitting up Burger King at the airport, Plow Boy advises not to eat at Burger King, serving over-cooked meat…, cold fries, Plow Boy feels Burger King is overpriced, Willie tell us about “St. Louis Hills Esther”, hearing about Mitch too, all about the STL Hills celebrties, support those wonderful sponsors, looking forward to Opening Day festivities, Willie okay with the eating texts again, Willie vows to lose weight by steam room, weighing oneself naked, missed the ol’ slide scales, some gyms add pounds to the scales…, not Evolve Personal Fitness, Doug does not like ‘excess’, not necessarily interested in seeing an Elayne Boosler show, some background information on Caroline Rhea, time kill music…, guy from some show named Hal Williams hanging with Caroline Rhea, networth for Elayne Boosler, some background on Boosler, confusion with Paula Poundstone, DJs now open for comedians, networth for Kim Fields, trying to remember who dated who on classic TV shows, miss “To Catch A Predator”…, won’t be coming back on NBC, “Coach” coming back on the air, that Chris Hansen got Chris Hansen’d…, networth for Julia Louis-Dreyfuss & networth for Buddy Ebsen.
SEGMENT 3 – More #WeenWednesday, must be nice to swimming in cash, story about Michigan State fan making $20,000 bet on ‘Sparty’ could have big big day if his team comes through, Doug sweating bet with Alpena, always worried when Tommy Izzo is lurking, show notes from Alpena, most impressive perfect seasons, thoughts on Lion’s Choice vs Arby’s, hearing clip from our interview with David Hunn finished with Tim saying ‘yeah yeah’, the character ‘ya ya’ from “The Sandlot”, saw Eartha Kitt in “Boomerang” last evening, Doug will start purring during his sportscasts, KMOV brass won’t notice the purring, Plow Girl booking trips with out the Plow Boy, some explanation from Plowsie on the situation, living life like a six-figga-jigga…, Plow Boy a little hurt… & now Plow Girl has interesting reaction to Tim’s tweet “#CuckLife”.
SEGMENT 4 – Don’t forget about #WeenWednesday, Nick Foles of the St. Louis Rams joins the show, still sideways over Wisconsin taking down Arizona in the Elite 8, did not know about trade to Rams from Eagles until it was already done, likes what he sees from the Rams moving forward, got to meet some of the staff/team coming to town for physical, texting with other teammates, getting ready for the training camp, not interested in the Los Angeles discussion, interested in being part of the “St. Louis Rams”, getting back from injury, just wants opportunity to win games, had never visited St. Louis until a few weeks ago, curious about his 40-time, not bad numbers, fans will definitely be supporting him & enjoyed the new QB’s candor.
SEGMENT 5 – Email of the Day
