SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Getting back to that Florida-Kentucky game, someone met Doug last weekend, swingers parties that have buffets, can’t perform with an empty stomach, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, good times at The Wheelhouse, Joe Roderick had a huge carry out order, Willie had his faced pushed into the nachos by Abeln but Roderick and Jim Edmonds kept eating them, decision to shun Roderick, Willie bought his food, questioning Willie’s toughness plus lack of reaction after the nachos incident, shipping a text of the day, camp at Chaminade once, doing origami at The Wheelhouse, nicest part of South City, not going to Roosevelt or DuBourg, listening to some “Edelweiss”, oh that Flipper, breaking down the potential matchup for the NL Playoffs just around the corner, Cardinals would enter as third seed if postseason began today, looks to be Pittsburgh Pirates and San Francisco Giants for the NL Wild Card, rather see the Washington Nationals than the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS round, scheduling sets up nicely to arrange rotation with Adam Wainwright more than likely going first, “oh my then tuck tuck tucky” & the streaming is down.
SEGMENT 2 – Gabe DeArmond: “We Are Mizzou”, Plowsie not a frat guy, hello Colonel, big win for the Kansas City Royals on Monday night, the Indiana Hoosiers have an awful defense, the Mizzou defensive line really getting some attention, Shane Ray the SEC Defensive Player of the Week, do not need secondary to carry load since d-line causes a lot of disruption, Maty Mauk having another big stat week, how the SEC East Division is playing out halfway through September, could be decided by first or second weeks in October, Mizzou’s schedule much more favorable especially comparing theirs to South Carolina and Georgia, hard-pressed to find two losses on the Tigers’ schedule besides the Gamecocks and Bulldogs, article from Clay Travis on the SEC West Division perhaps being the best of all-time when all said and done especially seeing how many teams are ranked, Gabe not buying Travis’ theory, more likely that the SEC West will cannabalize each other moving forward through the long season, Asian-Irish is the preferred reference & that Florida-Kentucky fella is back on the text line.
SEGMENT 3 – WWE Recap: That LFO having Jennifer Love Hewitt on the TV, time to hear about WWE Raw, someone threatening someone, Doug talks about scripts and teleprompters, hello to Larry, setting the record straight, meeting the Mayor of Alton, always handling things with class, the War on Christmas continues, top five countries involving Jerusalem once again, Doug not knowing his place…, perhaps a War on Doug & now Doug and Larry seem to be sideways with each other.
SEGMENT 4 – Derrick Goold: Deciding when the Cardinals will clinch the division, Michael Wacha getting a bullpen session, John Lackey probably getting a start on Friday, exfoliating our bodies, process of getting Wacha ready for the postseason, certinaly cannot underestimate the importance of series with the Milwaukee Brewers, getting Kevin Siegrest back into the mix, planning to see Mike Matheny manage these games as if they were already in the playoffs, Doug’s new appreciation for Jhonny Peralta, almost forget about Peralta’s suspension a year ago, trying to figure out the situation(s) with slugger Matt Adams, wondering if Joe Roderick is a hoarder, hello to new intern Curtis, has quite the wrestling background being a former grappler himself, Curtis certainly has the moves, almost feel we cannot make fun of Curtis due to his moves, wondering why he picked to work with this show, he’s not so sure about the Plow Boy at first look, remembering Weezer’s topless BBQs, cannot question Willie’s methods, hello again Mike Lee, wearing out mattresses… & brisket makes the best nibble for driving.
SEGMENT 5 – Email of the Day
