SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Doug breaks down the SLU but not Mizzou (beaker…), Tim had a hair on his steak last night, Trevor Rosenthal joins the show, his take on local cuisine, Matt Holliday (who winds up joining the show too) would be the most picky about having a hair on their food, ‘Matt the Bat’ replaces The Cat’s sunglasses, Matt Carpenter reportedly likes to use bronzer, a discussion of Lululemon apparel, lots of allegations during interviews with Holliday & Rosenthal, Jhonny Peralta weary of joining the show & Doug getting a treat from Monty’s.
SEGMENT 2 – Michael Wacha, Matt Adams & Mark Ellis: ‘Big City’ acting as Michael’s security, The Cat needs some better sunglasses, discussion of Wednesday’s fishing excursion, debate over the weight of a fish caught, Michael discusses some Texas A&M football especially about QB Johnny Manziel, looking back at the World Series, Wacha not necessarily surprised with the peformance he had at the end of the 2013 season, what is was like to watch Michael impressively work from Matt’s perspective, a gooey moment, planning the show on the air, new second baseman Mark Ellis joins the show, aware of the Cardinals’ plans for Kolten Wong, going back to the 2013 NLCS when playing with the Dodgers & Mark’s thoughts on the potential of this team.
SEGMENT 3 – Daniel Descalso & Joe Kelly: Nothing new and different at another Spring Training for the infielder, looking back at being one of the old ‘Memphis mafia’ guys that are now team veterans, the wealth of pitching, an upate on the ping-pong doings, Joe Kelly hanging around the picnic table, the fishing trip on Wednesday, a gentleman not cleaning up after his dog’s pooping, Joe Roderick keeps messing up this broadcast by walking near the picnic table, Kelly’s simple ‘let the chips fall’ view on the starting rotation & time to close up the clubhouse for a bit.
SEGMENT 4 – Some kind folks from PGA National discussing the wonderful accomodations they offer especially for Cardinals fans.
SEGMENT 5 – Question of the Day: Eating Monty’s back in the studio, our wonderful equipment, back to discussion of the ‘bat wing’, a tease for the ‘Question of the Day’ which is asking the players about the favorite film of all-time, hearing a lot of baseball movies, some Disney movies, an actual answer from Jaime Garcia, wondering how things are in STL, Willie has not had a nap all week, a texter is sideways with Andy Hanselman, the texter and Andy discuss the issues on the air & Jim Edmonds stops by to say hello.
SEGMENT 6 – Adam Wainwright named the Openind Day starter, a little gaffe by Joe Roderick, takes us into Doug’s grade school coaching, got to have ‘want to’, some concern with SLU having trouble with last place George Masson twice this season, anything can happen as Boston College took down #1 Syracuse on Wednesday night, Joe Kelly upset that this presentation lasts three hours & Doug’s Mt. Rushmore of NBA point guards.
