SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Dimes and caroms galore at Game 2 between the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards, the Rams have shown a hand by declaring in front 2,000 season ticket holders that Sam Bradford is indeed their guy, the (conspiracy) theories on all of this now just hours before the NFL Draft after a very drawn out process, cannot come up with anymore smoke screens, ProdJoe eager to weigh in after brushing his teeth, young scholars in the studio from Ladue shooting b-roll for a broadcasting, hello ProdJoe, not wearing Umbro shorts, belief/hope that another team would take Bradford like the Cleveland Browns, wondering how Bradford is your guy without a contract extension, Joe believes that perhaps too much credit is given to the Rams front office acumen, some stats to back up theories, those Big 12 QB’s apparently are no good at the next level, ProdJoe actually receiving text praise for his Rams breakdown, Doug tries to tell the hot passionate take truth, uranium has doomed the Rams & apparently no bottle service in Toldeo.
SEGMENT 2 – Joe Strauss: Laying out the situation once again after last night’s interesting Rams announcement, looking at all of this from poker playing perspective, Joe’s perspective and research on this drawn out process including visiting Jeff Fisher the other day, a lot of what’s been said or reported generally just does not make sense, mock theory that Rams will drop down a bit and go with Jake Matthews, the outlier pick theory still out there because Rams could be in situation when wants outweigh their needs, Peter Bourjos producing for the second time in a series for the Redbirds, winning series over Atlanta Braves encouraging for the ball club & perhaps some real anticipation of improvement moving forward especially with the road trips finally slowing down soon.
SEGMENT 3 – Jim Thomas: Birthday boy Taylor the greenskeeper says hello, Doug with some questionable queries according to Jim, the oddity of announcing Sam Bradford “as our guy” the night before the NFL Draft, Rams apparently told Bradford that he was going to hear things about them taking a QB, Jim’s final mock draft with the Rams taking Greg Robinson, really will be a lot of options for the Rams second first-round pick at No. 13, really an easy arguement for taking Jake Matthews, wondering why the Rams have not given Bradford a contract extension considering that he’s their guy, almost forgot who the top overall pick was a year ago, draft deep for this and that but not those & Doug all about the George Allen strategy with the draft.
SEGMENT 4 – Tyoka Jackson & Houston Nutt: Charlie found a bell, Doug would like to file a complaint with HR, Tyoka going all Vito Corleone on the show, really believes that Rams are in a good position to trade down while still getting their offensive tackle pick, can still get a high value wide receiver with the second first-round pick to complement Tavon Austin, likes Johnny Manziel but not for the Rams, not high on the QB class overall, his takes on the top WRs available, tough to find big guys that can move very well, the pros and cons of the highly touted Jadeveon Clowney, believes that Sam Bradford is the Rams’ guy for just 2014 so far, no rush to give Bradford a big signing bonus, can find quality players in the draft or elsewhere a lot of times, feels the same way about Rams trading down to get Greg Robinson (or Jake Matthews), hello to Coach Nutt, Tim covered him back in the day, thoughts on Johnny Football, the fear that he could easily get hurt playing with the pros, his takes on the elite offensive tackles, thoughts on the Rams moving forward with Bradford, back in the day covering the SEC more than a decade ago, @PeoriaPlowBoy suspended, the idea of having a suspension bell & that first job working in TV.
SEGMENT 5 – Email of the Day: We also hear from Ladue students Jason and Jackson on their project.
