SEGMENT 2 – Charlie forgot about Billy Gilman, forget who Billy Simpkins is too…, wonderful live read by Chuck, Stan McNeal of Fox Sports Midwest joins the show, doesn’t seem too excited to join the show, hip flexor situation with Lance Lynn during his first Spring Training start, expect to learn more about Lynn’s situation soon, found out that tightness in the hip not that uncommon for Lynn during this time of the year, Stan believes that fifth starter position belongs to Carlos Martinez, reasons why Martinez should be the guy, Doug still not okay with ‘side session’, update on Adam Wainwright, easier for decision-making if a certain someone was on the DL to avoid controversy, viewing Jaime Garcia as an insurance policy, do not think Garcia would be okay coming out of the bullpen, that Tommy Pham stepping up thus far, assessing outfield depth, Dean Anna not helping himself on the basepaths, complimenting a real journalist, Charlie flat out lying, support those sponsors, Plow Boy getting hooked up at Mattress Source, reception of Plow Boy in Jupiter, getting back to concerns with the starting rotation, more worried about Micahel Wacha considering the mystery about the stress injury, pitching more important than ever these days, Frank making a ruckus behind the glass, complimenting Plowsie, story about Plow Boy hitting up the gas station in Florida, suppose to quit smoking on St. Patty’s Day, getting Doug plus others ready for Summer activities & Doug gets close to correct names.
SEGMENT 3 – Support our loyal sponsors, fantasy baseball this season, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, let’s not overreact to Lance Lynn hip flexor strain, things happen through baseball season…, be nice to see Cardinals get their work done more seemlessly, curious about Jordan Walden role with the bullpen, hoping to see more efficiency from Trevor Rosenthal, nothing wrong with pitching to contact, thoughts on ball club needing sufficient power, nice but not necessary considering the postseason teams from a season ago, having a extra base hits (mostly doubles) can just as effective over length of season, checking Joe’s #CupCrazy level, intersting that the Blues fan base could be more cynical than himself, seeing the Nashville Predators getting exposed to a degree, belief this could be the year in which the Blues go deep into the playoffs, emotional moment with Barry Hinson mentioning Bryan Burwell, classy move by the SIU-C coach, Joe might be opining on the Cardinals manager later this week on Mike Matheny has accomplished, the manager get a lot of criticism, clashing personalities in a clubhouse, picking on Colby Rasmus, picking on Tyler Greene, way that Tony La Russa went about managing the personalities, Matheny might be more sensitive to the plight of the younger players & hindsight argument no good with Matheny using Wacha in the NLCS.
SEGMENT 4 – That song from “Armageddon”, that “Gone Girl” shot in Cape Girardeau, wondering what local TV station is the best, Doug got some big ratings the other week, Charlie has obligation to duel with Doug, promo from Fox 2 indicating Charlie’s love for nachos, possible threat on text line, some of the texts tend to be vile, rooting interest for college basketball heading into March Madness, Doug gives thoughts on the new Mizzou athletic director, hearing good things about the compliance of Mack Rhodes, wondering about the future relationship with Gary Pinkel and Kim Anderson & hearing Rhodes’ nickname is “compie”.
SEGMENT 5 – Fight between Kelly Chase and Tony Twist nineteen years ago today, The Cat working at the WB with Michigan J Frog, the wonderful singing from Mr. Frog, Terry Yake of the Blues joins the show, thoughts on the new guys adding depth to the team, Robert Bortuzzo making impact right away, giving up Ian Cole at the deadline, seeing “38: Pavol Demitra” for the second time last night at the exclusive screening, wave of thoughts plus emotions watching the documentary, huge support from the alummni, some current players showing, level of support from the Blues alummni, the camaraderie between teammates obviously very real, remembering the Kelly Chase-Tony Twist fight, they were trying to hurt each other yet still friends after the game, might be the only screening of “38: Pavol Demitra” for the time being, looking at those Central Division standings, we like to say “two games in hand”, debating the difference between ‘overtime loss’ and ‘tie’, getting the one point & support our sponsors!
