SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Back at the picnic table, nice setup once again for Spring Training in Florida, Doug back in the studio by himself, Matt Holliday posed with a Larry Nickel t-shirt, Matt’s the first to visit the show, discussion of uniforms, upsetting Frank Cusumano, Lance Lynn stops by to say hello, the ping pong competition in the Cardinals’ clubhouse, Matt asks some things about local sports radio, apparently there’s no need for a producer, Shane Robinson stops by to learn he kind of looks like Tim, Shane taller than Tim, discussion of shaving heads, John Mozeliak walks by the show, Cat weary of other media stealing interviews & support our wonderful advertisers.
SEGMENT 2 – Jaime Garcia: The left-handed starter dropped by the show, not as big a moment (being on the show) for him as pitching in the World Series, Jaime feels healthy and strong, excited to work back into the starting rotation, the amazing pitching staff the Redbirds have, lots of chatter about Jaime heading into the season, wondering if he’s kind of become the forgotten man (based on forecasts read by The Cat), the Cardinals need to hire Doug as a ‘wide base coach’, Cat taking a photo of Mark Ellis as the newest Redbird walks into the clubhouse for the first time & the sweet accomodations at PGA National.
SEGMENT 3 – Tim had an awkward situation last week heading to Florida with some potential swingers, some JHE moves by Tim when it comes to air travel, avoiding children and obese folk on flights, the etiquette for sitting in the middle seat on an airplane, an ice rink here in St. Louis on Monday morning, Willie getting some big TV time during the Billikens broadcast on Saturday, Willie refuses to wear Billikens colors & Doug still has not got his Cadillac from caller Rich.
SEGMENT 4 – Mike Claiborne & Joe Strauss: Breaking rights holder rules, NBA represented well in the All-Star Game, big doings for TMA with a table cloth and everything in Florida, Joe sits down at the picnic table, Joe complaining about the refs from the SLU-VCU guy on Saturday, time for Question of the Day, Justin Boyd asks players and coach whats scariest between aliens, ghosts or big foot, Claibs & Strauss cannot believe they are part of this show & Doug embarrassed by the Question of the Day.
SEGMENT 5 – Question of the Day off to a solid start, complaints from the listeners, Willie has a busy day ahead of him, love for the show sponsors, left-handed specialist Randy Choate stops by the show, looking to have another good season in his specific role, the big weekend for TJ Oshie scoring the winning goal for USA over Russia, his postgame humble attitude was just as impressive as his shootout skills, a visit to Walt Disney World, Space Mountain being refurbished, wondering about some of those Disney princesses, asking Mickey Mouse for some $$, Doug had a traumatic experience at Disney World & Tim throws up from riding the tea cups.
