For the second straight year, the University of Missouri will be represented in next year’s Senior Bowl.
Markus Golden, an Affton native, on Monday accepted his invitation to play in the pre-NFL Draft showcase, held annually in Mobile, Ala.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound team captain, set career highs with 68 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks this season.He’s second on Missouri in tackles for loss and sacks behind SEC Defensive Player of the Year Shane Ray.
Last week, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. told media Golden looks like a second- or third-round pick as a 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker.
The Senior Bowl will be held Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. Last season, Michael Sam represented the Tigers.
