CBS Sports 920 And insideSTL.com Announces New Radio Partnership
I am pleased to announce that insideSTL and Emmis Communications have reached an agreement to simulcast CBS Sports 920 programming on 105.7 HD-2.
We are now CBS Sports 920-AM/105.7 HD-2 FM.
Our broadcast on 105.7 HD-2 will begin simulcasting on January 4, 2016.
Suffice it to say, after 12 years of The Morning Grind/The Morning After airing solely on AM radio, we’re thrilled to bring our show and our station to FM.
Furthermore, we’re excited to partner with a top-tier media company in Emmis. Not only does Emmis own and operate 105.7 The Point, KSHE 95, Now 96.3, and FM News Talk 97.1 in St. Louis, they own stations in New York, Los Angeles, and throughout the country.
This is a great moment for our company, because this is a partnership that we couldn’t be happier about forming. We’re only adding another platform on which you, the audience, can listen to our shows. But, to be adding an FM platform and starting a relationship with a company the caliber of Emmis is a major step for insideSTL.
However, I want to make sure I convey this, because while it may sound like some kind of political speech full of easy applause lines, it is the absolute truth:
This is an accomplishment made possible by the loyalty of the audience.
This move is the result of you, the audience, being so damn good in conveying your love for the station and website, and so damn good in supporting our sponsors that legitimate radio
operations couldn’t help but take notice of what is going on here.
And that is the simple how and why this deal got done.
You made it possible.
And all of us at both the station and the website couldn’t be more grateful.
To celebrate our new partnership with Emmis, we’ll be having a happy hour at Billy G’s in Kirkwood tonight from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. It would be great to have you join us for a beverage.
But, even if you cannot make it, on behalf of everyone at CBS Sports 920-AM/105.7 HD-2 FM and insideSTL.com, I want to make sure I say thank you for your loyalty and support of our station, website, and sponsors.
