SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Charlie sitting across from Doug this morning, Doug not prepared, may not be suspensions this morning, captain’s log, reaction the breaking news about the Cardinals hacking the Astros, hard to believe any of the top management would have been involved, waiting for more facts to be released, FBI seized Cardinals’ computers some time ago, interesting reactions from media as well as social media, tough to make opinions on situation without more facts, cannot see the Cardinals’ wanting to purposely steal information from the Astros for some kind of competitive advantage, some believe such as Bob Costas that the situation will wind up being benign, Richard Justice said that Bill DeWitt or John Mozeliak could not be involved, hearing from MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred, SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, hearing from Bob Costas about what could happen, texter quite upset with Bill Plaschke of the LA Times writing the FBI investigation of the Cards makes it fair to question their postseason wins over the Dodgers, wondering about Jeff Luhnow’s passwords, wondering what kind of penalties that MLB might eventually impose, quick NBA thoughts especially the MVP going to Andre Iguodala, Doug thinks there’s bigger problems in the world then baseball teams hacking each other while understanding that hacking is serious, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, hard to draw the line whether it’s a big deal or not since a crime was committed, do not think the Cardinals are in need of the Astros’ philosophies, belief that a couple rogue employees wanted to see how their former program/database was being used, embarrassing moment for the Astros at one point having private data leaked, just because it’s sports does not mean that anything should be taken lightly, wondering why the FBI subpoenas have not been released, one particular case could be dissipated, perhaps hope that little fish would roll over on big fish, hard to believe organization would risk success over this crime, key to situation will be who knew what when, hard to use the word ‘benign’ like Bob Costas used, would not feel benign if this happened to the Cardinals, comparing the Cardinals to the Patriots at this point, biggest difference is that Pats are repeat offenders, plenty of media members (or others on social media) taking a lot of delight in what happened yesterday, not exactly sure how many guys knew about the investigation, curious that Mike Matheny did not know about investigation until yesterday, odd that Matheny who was in Florida at the time did not know especially after computers were taken from the Busch Stadium offices, understanding that the tracking of the hack took place in Palm Beach (Florida), goal for FBI will be to discover how far up the ladder this crime went, history of Luhnow with the Cardinals, former Birds players that have becomes Astros, times of resentment since about 2007 between Luhnow and other Cardinals executives, reaction from the fans at the game only hours after the news broke & SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!

SEGMENT 2 – #WeenWednesday, recapping the discussion so far this morning, Dave calls pretty much incriminating the Cardinals for past indiscretions (lack for a better word)…Cardinals not always the squeaky clean organization they’re made up to be, have usually compared the Cardinals to the San Antonio Spurs, damage from PR perspective already done (could get worse too), easy to poke at #BFIB, Doug not sure if someone ought to go to prison over this situation…looking at Astros draft analysis should not be crime, explaining crime like competing businesses stealing secured information from each other, Chris calls complementing Charlie over the Aldi shoes…actions have consequences…says do whatever it takes to win…Doug does not agree…we do felonies everyday without knowing it…POT HIM DOWN!!!, some texts, suspension earned, Dave calls to talk to Doug about the information stolen, Mark who apparently worked in some corporate espionage calls…some details about his dirty doings…did some hacking for information…called “competitive intelligence”, Timberfake calls…never committed a crime…take on championships…possibly fighting Weezer…shout outs…talking to Plow Boy…okay that’s enough, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, surprised and shocked when he heard the news, definitely was ill will when Luhnow left, some people went with him, if this whole situation began as a joke, possible ramifications from the league, do not really think the crime was premeditated, comparing this situation to others, not even sure if the employee in question still works with the Cardinals, should not have any effect on the field, fans might boo the players more, Timberfake back on the air…trying to get him to fight Weezer, Mike Lee calls…couldn’t play golf yesterday…POT HIM DOWN!!!, if the other sports station stole stuff from us…, not the first time that Bill Plaschke has wrote column that ruffles the feathers of Cardinal Nation, wrote some inaccurate things after the death of Josh Hancock, his most recent piece on the FBI investigation of the Cards makes it fair to question their postseason wins over the Dodgers, Doug not a fan of the column, some will assume that Cardinals hacked other teams & SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!

SEGMENT 3 – Wondering if we ought to play Ween more often, comments by John Mozeliak from Spring Training about the evolution of the computer programs, Mo’s “secret sauce”…, Rich from Phoenix formerly from Maryland Heights calls…taking joy in the Cardinals misery…his conspiracy theories including some clever nicknames…Rich going back to the Walt Jocketty days…not buying Doug’s candor, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports joins the show, reaction to Rich the Cardinals news, seems like a very foolish act, cannot understand what advantage could really be had from the information taken, curious about the motives, really doubt this goes high up the food chain, hard to imagine there will be big time punishments from the league (assuming there was no cover up), still take time to see total PR fallout since Cardinals are very respected, definitely impressive what we’re seeing on the field considering all the injuries, hearing something similar from another national guy in which this whole situation will ultimately not be that big of a deal, “Chris/Chaps” calls…four guys sharing a home for Spring Training…stadium update question involving San Diego…POT HIM DOWN!!!, suspension earned, wondering if Doug hacked computers to hit home run off Tom Seaver…SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, Cardinals did win their fifth straight, hearing from Cal May, poor quality audio, more classic Cal May…, what it’s like interview players & some funny stories (not really).
