SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Doug wanting more accountability plus wanting to start later, new programming ideas, stench of onions in the studio, pawnin’ holes on Draft Day especially that Donny Most, The Cat having some trouble with the fantasy doings, playoff atmosphere in Miami for Cardinals-Marlins, Doug very disappointed with the movie “Into the Storm”, that Donovan Solano sure can rake…, very very tedious unproductive Redbird offense…, that Allen Craig deal should have opened things up for Oscar Taveras, missing Joe Kelly who pitched well again for the Boston Red Sox, just do not see things coming together like 2006 or 2011 unless Cards get healthy and start hitting just a bit more, question of who could be a bat to possibly bolster the lineup before and after the July 31 deadline, concern is that Taveras has just gotten worse as the season has progressed, texters weigh in, Willie not ready with a list of players who have cleared waivers, now he has it, sad that Oscar got compared to So Taguchi, wondering if Cardinals can get Allen Craig back, Rich in Maryland Heights graces the airwaves plus orders food from the drive-thru live on the air again, the random tiger sound drop, some issue with listeners reportedly not getting prizes, Willie suggests documenting his day, logging activities by the hour at certain businesses & an 8-minute defecation sounds regular.
SEGMENT 2 – Joe Strauss: A disturbing song to rejoin the show, was found on YouTube, getting into what Torry Holt said about Rams WR Tavon Austin, scary to think his only consistent effectiveness will come mostly by special teams, Rams have changed their mindset over the past 15 months when they traded up to obtain Tavon, Torry hearing good things about other WRs but wondering what that says about the secondary, Doug getting sexually harrassed wanting to contact human resources (who is Plow Boy), that one radio station GM that liked to do odd things, hello Joe, the thin market for bats that could potentially help the Cardinals, wondering if Justin Masteron is completely healthy much less able to be effective as a starter, Carlos Martinez can be this year’s x-factor maybe like Michael Wacha was a year ago, maybe just admitting “it is what it is” especially since John Mozeliak said that time comes sooner or later, the waiver wire market especially for outfield bats, sense that this ball club can ‘flip the switch’ like 2006 or 2011 just not there, belief that someone on the staff will be held accountable for the drop off this season & have to be willing to cut losses.
SEGMENT 3 – Time for a intellegent discussion about this Cardinals situation, time to make a move, leash on Justin Masterson cannot be much, wondering if opportunity for Marlon Byrd has come and gone, Doug suspending folks, the prince and king of misinformation both work on the show, Doug likes to go see Tim workout apparently, The Cat telling us about his time at ‘Old Sweat Factory’, Denny has arrived with the world famous fried chicken, Tim stalls talking about poker whilst the fellas can eat, Douglass calls into the show wanting some trades to be made plus gives a quick schedule reading, enjoying the chicken, hello Mike Lee, “Popeye” was Robin Williams’ first movie, thoughts about the comedian/actor passing away, crazy how the depression can be so overcoming, “going to see about a girl” & lot of his work was improv even in the movies.
SEGMENT 4 – Email of the Day: Joe Roderick reportedly sneaking into station to snatch some fried chicken, Willie got a #poached once from Strauss, ProdJoe and Charlie returning to the show soon & blueberry yum yum.
