SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Show needs more Willie since he did not really get involved with on-air dicussion until later on Tuesday, Cardinals will get the Pittsburgh Pirates for the NLDS beginning Thursday, the Cincinnati Reds seem to have possibly been shooken up by the highly spirited PNC Park crowd, how the Cardinals have historically done in the modern first round of the playoffs, the importance of the Redbirds getting early wins in the series with pitcher Francisco Liriano lurking in a possible Game 3 matchup, Lance Lynn getting the nod for Game 2, all of the pitchers behind Wainwright were probably worthy candidates to start Game 2, Lynn battled his way back to earning trust for a big start in the playoffs and then the show loses focus from serious post season discussion.
SEGMENT 2 – Joe Strauss: Thoughts on the Pirates taking down the Reds, the thoughts on Lance Lynn making the Game 2 start, the bench being thin following the Allen Craig injury, Joe and Jim have a bit of a quarrel and Edward Mujica possibly getting a roster spot though having a hurt shoulder on his throwing arm.
SEGMENT 3 – Dave Matter: Missouri SEC opener against the Vanderbilt Commodores will not be televised in a lot of local area homes unless you are a Charter subsriber, Dave explains the stipulations and background of how Mizzou/SEC programming has found its way to local TVs regardless of cable/sattelite carrier, KPLR-11 will still air an SEC football game this weekend but not the Tigers.
SEGMENT 4 – Jeff Passan: The atmosphere at PNC Park on Tuesday night left quite the impression, Lance Lynn getting the Game 2 start for the Redbirds, the strength of the starting pitching lead by Adam Wainwright, the other advantages/disadvantages for the Cardinals in this upcoming NLDS, breaking down the rest of the playoffs, why he likes the Los Angeles Dodgers who continue to be a favorite in the NL and briefly who he likes out of the AL.
