SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Feeling good this morning, nice fantasy trade between Charlie and Doug, other fantasy doings, charming dinner for the Plow Boy and Plow Girl last evening tweeted out, other fine dishes made by the Plow Girl, the Plow Girl not actually a farm girl, some bowling at Hank’s this evening, apparently it’s a weekly league, Plow Girl does not have a glove or ball yet uses the same ball by stashing the orb at Hank’s, captain’s log, big time frustration with seeing the Blues lose 1-0 to the Jets, huge call waiving off goal from Paul Stastny, seeing Kevin Shattenkirk clap at the referees aftet the clock hit zero, other divsion contenders (Blackhawks plus Predators) did not fair well either, those defending champion Kings may have finished themselves, two more regular season games to go…, work the cross-fit, Alpena does the hard work that almost makes him vomit, the prowler device, support our wonderful sponsors, interesting stadium news about potential lawsuit towrds City of St. Louis regarding their financial involvement with the project, reasonable to expect vote if public money is going to be in play, Professor John Ammann of SLU Law joins the show, need to find out financial plan from City of St. Louis to quickly decide if vote required, belief that public vote assuming the public will give strong support can be benefit when presenting plan to NFL, Professor Ammann an admitted local football fan, difference between SLU Law School construction and stadium project, sometimes a city just needs to spend money to improve, not understanding why the public would be afraid of public vote, hope that positive result from vote would improve the real issues happening in the city, afraid of vote because the public does not want to give more money, not understanding why we need stadium project if we can’t take vote, interesting that Governor Nixon told St. Louis County their money not needed after Steve Stenger called for vote, discussion not happening in the public but behind close doors, not sure where to draw lines on what does or does not require public vote, differing opinions on the backbone of St. Louis, the next step of their plan regarding possible lawsuit, reaction to that interesting interview bringing plenty of perspective, cannot build around problems (such as homeless) to expect them to go away, lots of calls/texts reacting…, Mark calls believing there’s an agenda from Professor Ammann or SLU Law, definitely want to imrpove issues of St. Louis, there could be anger (lack of a better word) towards the rich/elite/power of the area dealing behind closed doors, Dave Peacock does not need to lead the local task force, not sure who else would have stepped forward, reading situation as short-sightedness, Rick calls with reaction, does not like opinions bashing the area, disagreement on programs that are suppose to help people, opinion there will be no vote because of possibly not passing, Tim watching “Donnybrook” for perspective who also say the issue would not come to a vote, Chris (not Chaps) calls, maybe not anger from Prof. Ammann but just Catholic altruism, would not vote ‘yes’ on the issue based on personal beliefs, Rams leaving the final nail in the coffin for downfall of St. Louis, losing about forty residents per day according to RFT, easy for any city to do nothing becoming the next Detroit, do not consider the City of St. Louis to be business-friendly, definitely not as bad as Detroit (yet), no grocery store in downtown Detroit according to Chuck, things will not get better here if we do not make improvements which means spending money, Gary calls with more STL perspective comparing local cultural issues to others, praise for actual journalism & support the sponsors.
