SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: The Cat was watching local TV coverage of the Mizzou situation and the anchors seemed to have trouble describing why Tim Wolfe resigned, Tim apologizes for being off his game yesterday, Tim doesn’t believe yesterday was a victory it was a disappointment, discussing the Mizzou communications professor who tried to crack down on a student journalist, Doug is still incredulous about how few “incidents” these protests were based on, Tim doesn’t like seeing innocent people convicted in the court of public opinion and shamed into submission through irrational and irresponsible acts which is exactly what happened with Wolfe, Doug doesn’t like people invoking “saving a life” when it’s related to a voluntary hunger strike, The Cat worries about people being blinded by ideology and losing all sense of reason, Butler said he can’t be burdened by the point of his protest in the videos Tim found on You Tube, Chris calls in to question Pinkel’s position on all of this, another gentleman named Chris phones in to join the debate on race and privilege, Brad chimes in next, Doug is still asking what freedoms have been denied at the University of Missouri, Brandon is next on The Appliance Discounters phone lines to discuss the tone of the protests in Columbia, Tim loathes racial bigotry but he’s not going to blindly stand in line with “Concerned Student 1950” demands.
