SEGMENT 1 – Show Open & Joe Strauss: Jim is back from Los Angeles, that darn “drive-by media”, the terrible position for the Cardinals being up 3-1 since they blew the NLCS in 2012, similarities between the NLCS Game 5 of 2012 and this season postseason, the keys moments in which the Redbirds were not able to capitalize while having the Dodgers ‘on the ropes’, Joe Strauss checks-in on his way to the airport, the Cardinals having to face Kershaw once again, the Redbirds approach to the Dodgers lineup, Edward Mujica getting back into the relief mix on Wednesday, the bench for the Cardinals creating decision problems for Mike Matheny, Jim has a few celebrity stories from LA, moving to LA, Willie the victim of ‘drive-by media’, Jim gets his present from Rudy for the next Cardinals celebration and more fantasy musings in preparation for ‘Hey Kay’.
SEGMENT 2 – Kay Adams: Willie apparently has it out for ‘Hey Kay’ screwing up her segment quite a bit, Kay’s #WhatWhat player of the week faces the Rams, Doug’s fantasy problems have essentially caused him to throw the towel in only six weeks into the season, picking up key free agents, questions from texters, no one knows what’s happening with the Rams WRs and Kay hopes to be in STL next week for some World Series action.
SEGMENT 3 – Adrian Gonzalez doing his Mickey Mouse thing getting under the Cardinals’ skin, Yadi says he does not care, Mike Lee keeps promoting his birthday party next month, back to the story of the NLCS being the antics of the Dodgers, the screening of the callers, Tim likes the combo of Wacha/Wainwright over Kershaw/Greinke, a key will the be the health of the Dodgers lineup over the rest of the NLCS and thoughts on Matheny shaking up the lineup.
SEGMENT 4 – Jim Thomas: Big game for the Rams with a chance to go above the .500 mark, the perplexion that is the Carolina Panthers, the Rams’ running situation possibly a bit more complicated than anticipated after Zac Stacy begins to emerge, DeAngelo Williams taking on the Rams’ defense and looking around the rest of the league.
SEGMENT 5 – Skip Schumaker: The thought on the extra-curricular activites happening with the possible taunting, how things went well for the Dodgers in Game 5, the thought of the Cardinals letting another Game 5 loss get to them especially after the affect it had in 2012, the media coverage throughout the series and David Mirikitani joins the show to promote the Warriors for Heroes fight night on Oct. 26 to show support for the anti-Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder cause.
