SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Charlie Marlow running point this morning, Cardinals keep rolling in New York, no captains log yet, Willie taking his good old time, maybe we should check the email, captains log, The Cat wants to know what’s happening with his co-hosts, Doug excited about saving money on his 44oz beverage from the gas station, the different names for soda, Doug just using his own terms like some old man…, nice final episode for David Letterman, amazing guest list, the late night shows we prefer, Chris Elliott was big part of show back in the day living under the stairs, Charlie feels the final episode was perfectly done, Doug had heard that Letterman was a crabby guy to work with on the show, video of “day in the life” for Letterman, wondering if he has enough savings after doing the show, Willie says that we’ve toyed with the idea of doing video of us, Charlie reading all the insults plus comments about Delaware on the text line, lot of Fighting Blue Hens fans around these parts, Doug using his own terms again…, the licquor drinks in Delaware at Dewey Beach, Willie has pilot connection, Doug/Cat fly for free, we’ll need Doug to be the stewardess, just play some Jerky Boys if making the long trip to Delaware, we have some Jerky Boys audio that we did not pre-screen…, Plow Boy with the quick drop…, details about dropping out of FCC violations, Chaps calls, he likes Jerky Boys too, that one time on Jerky Boys…, don’t remember…, stupid ramblings, POT HIM DOWN!!!, stupid stupid phone call, maybe hear some audio, audio we don’t have, Letterman clip, Willie tried to heroically volunteer to run point but nobody wants him, oh silent Stan Kroenke…, coverage of the NFL Spring Meetings, all the owners besides Kroenke talking, what we’ve learned (or not) from these meetings, Mark Davis certainly talking, perception making promises, only promise Davis has made was not going to STL, seeing a few Rams plus former Rams players at Chris Long fundraiser event, some of the mind that Rams might be able to take step forward this season, obviously some people still skeptical of what’s happening, SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, Doug would like some pork steaks, Charlie was not familiar with pork steaks until arriving in STL, cannot undertsand how Ohio missed out on pork steaks, the vibrant cities of Ohio such as Cleveland or Columbus, shift to “The Bachelorette”, Charlie wants more of the funny episodes such as the drunk guy, let him stay for a couple episodes, some believe in the sappy love while others are skeptical, Doug met his wife working TV in Miami, Cat met his wife in Delware & SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!
SEGMENT 2 – Hearing from Roger Goodell, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network joins the show, always feels like the same conversaiton, none of the process means anything until vote is taken, comparing Stan Kroenke to Mark Davis, bypassing NFL bylaws, putting percentage on STL chances…, likes the chances of STL having NFL team if they put plan together including financial details, clear that STL is far ahead of the other stadium projects, looking at the Deflategate situtation finally dying down, the changes to the PAT play, we like the changes to the PAT almost daring team to go for two points more often, defenders certainly like chance to score themselves, hopefully the end to Deflategate, argument over cheating or competitve edge, comparing competitve edge to gamesmanship, Tom Brady not giving up his phone, imagine if Brady had his own fantasy team, chatter about the InsideSTL fantasy baseball league, Jim calls about Matt Holliday plus Albert Pujols, Cardinals got the best out of Pujols, wondering how much longer Holliday can keep putting up his numbers, SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, we always ask for food when Charlie is present, we like free food regardless of who’s present, Charlie expected more food at the Chris Long event at Morton’s, texters ripping on Chuck’s weight some more, quarter of the way to weighing 1000 lbs., Charlie watching other stations last night, seeing Doug showing off more with his sportscast shot, getting Victor involved with Doug’s sportscast, Charlie learning the background on Victor, poor Victor…, core audience lives at Delmar Gardens, SUPPORTS THE SPONSORS!!!, ideas for younger audience, do sportscasts like the away broadcasts in “Bull Durham”, doing the voice to ask Wainwright questions, same funny voice pretending to ask Kroenke questions & SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!
SEGMENT 3 – Doug not a fan of the music that finally picks up, SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, outing for Carlos Martinez not too bad, progressive positive steps by Martinez after regression, Dan McLaughlin distracting Derrick, we say hello, Dan passes around complements, Jenifer Langosch gets the phone next, talking about technician from MLB Network who served our country, we want to know what technician Casey thinks about Jaime Garcia, “I don’t know…”, patriotic remarks, Dan with some fine comments about Willie who booked four guests for one, fans heckling poor Tim McCarver, screwed up New York accent for Boston accent, back to Derrick, some more thoughts on Jaime, wanted to give fans back home the experience of media at the hotel before a day game, confusion over the pronunciation of Miguel Socolovich, doing some John Miller impressions causes Doug to purr, hanging at the Brentwood Forrest pool, getting gear from the TV jobs, Charlie doesn’t iron his polos, the clothes the boys wear for TV work, handing out text of the day, back to some sports talk, anticipation for Garcia starting today, getting some production from first base position, Mark Reynolds providing more than we expected, Matt Adams maybe picking things up again, Reynolds playing in a few places becoming invaluable, might need to keep playing Randal Grichuk often, bursting with potential, The Cat leaves, back to the Cardinals talk, getting more help on the bench, predictions for Jaime’s start & SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!
SEGMENT 4 – Presidents sending off Letterman, Chuck almost interned for the late night show, be fun to be a writer, Charlie with some examples, SUPPORT THE SPONSORS!!!, playing lacrosse & Email of the Day!
