SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Tim is in Vegas so hey Charlie Marlow is filling in, Doug and Charlie exchange gambling stories, Doug is crestfallen that Greinke is being shutdown this week during the Fantasy Baseball playoffs, this leads to another rant about benching good games from Brandon Phillips and Melky Cabrera, Charlie was a big fan of Doug’s KMOV story about Laclede Gas, the Cardinals pitching has definitely seemed to stabilize but of course Doug had Joey Votto in his lineup, Lance Lynn was playful but terse with his postgame comments last night, Post-Dispatch columnist Benjamin Hochman joins the program to discuss a potpourri of topics, Charlie claims that Yogi Berra’s old house on The Hill is going to become a Bed and Breakfast, Doug shares a story about how he accidentally marked Yogi’s pants before a sit-down interview at KMOV, Doug says Yogi got an incredible amount out of an average body but texters say Tim has gotten even more out of his, Plowsy isn’t here today but Doug keeps asking him to hit the lever for audio, Doug thinks Sam Bradford would be a backup QB somewhere right now if people would just get over him being a former #1 pick, Charlie disagrees just because there are so few good QB’s available.
SEGMENT 2 – Charlie calls for a replay of the vile Doug songs made by Danny from the IT Department, waiting for Sea Monster to get ahold of Terry Bradshaw, Chris chimes in with a fantasy football question, JT calls in next to criticize Charlie’s fantasy advice, another Chris joins with a poem for Doug, a fake Kordell Stewart follows next with a story about Doug interviewing him, Charlie has had a good 11 year run in TV, raw interviews don’t get saved for long in TV, do hosts ever recycle old audio and act light it’s new … or pretend that something from a media scrum was actually a 1-on-1.
SEGMENT 3 – KC and Jo Jo brings us back which our guest CBS Sports analyst Trent Green seems to enjoy, Trent will be on the call for Rams vs. Steelers this Sunday and discusses the franchise’s future in St. Louis, Doug reminisces about what the narrative would’ve been had Trent won the Super Bowl as starting QB in 1999, Charlie says the Emmy’s aren’t must watch even though it airs on Fox, Chuck also feels the most entertaining movies aren’t rewarded at the Oscars, Doug doesn’t care for Sci-Fi or Vampire flicks, texter wants to know Doug’s favorite movie.
SEGMENT 4 – Backstreet Boys and The Son of Daddy Butter bring us back but Sea Monster asks for it to be potted down before Hall of Fame QB Terry Bradshaw is on the line, in addition to the NFL he discusses Fox’s lead-in coverage of the Emmy’s, from what Terry hears the Rams are “100% gone” to Los Angeles, he also doesn’t think the NFL would do much to get another franchise in town, if news breaks about the Rams leaving town The Cat is going to eat Crunch & Munch, Frank was texting strange pictures to Charlie, Post-Dispatch Cardinals reporter Derrick Goold joins the program to discuss last night’s win and Lance Lynn’s resurgence, Email of the Day.
