#ThrowbackThursday: “The Morning After” Game 6 of the 2011 World Series

World Series Game 2 was held in Kansas City Wednesday night, and sadly the Cardinals were not playing after being eliminated in frustrating fashion in San Francisco last week.

Like Tim McKernan, it’s easy to assume most Cardinals fans are still feeling the sting of elimination.

So for this #ThrowbackThursday, we decided to go back to a happier time. We’ve posted audio from the show after Game 6 of the 2011 World Series. You know, the one that made David Freese a local hero?

In this particular segment, the crew is still on a high after that Thursday night win. They also talk to Joe Buck, whose call on Freese’s game-winning home run was a tribute to his late father.

You can here the entire segment here:

Oh, and here’s the column McKernan wrote the morning before Game 6. Pretty neat hearing his mindset hours before history was to be made.
