Edmonton Oilers forward and St. Louis native Pat Maroon was in town this week as his Oilers took down the St. Louis Blues 1-0 at Scottrade Center.
Hours before the game, the Oakville High School graduate sat down with Cam Janssen and the insideSTL News team and discussed the progress of youth hockey in the St. Louis area.
“It just goes to show how the alumni around St. Louis can develop players and mold the players into the guys they need to be. For me being from St. Louis, it’s pretty exciting to see,” Maroon said.
Maroon also discussed Connor McDavid picking his son up from school and hanging out with Wayne Gretzky.
