SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Doug’s trip to Tulsa, he had direction difficulties, water skiing doesn’t come as naturally anymore, Doug considers cheating in golf making it more fun for himself’, Charlie and the Cat want to know what they’re supposed to tell their kids if they cheat themselves, USA soccer – the Cat predicted that this game would come down to set pieces and it did, Doug says Japan needs to widen their bases to improve their game, Carli Lloyd, it just seemed that Tj Oshie was going to be traded, he seemed to be guy that was the most vocal toward the end of last season, there seemed to be a disconnect between him and Hitchcock, he was the face of the franchise for awhile, but he wasn’t the most exciting guy anymore, Doug tends to dislike a lot of the trades the Blues make, he says that may be because he doesn’t know the careers of the other players being traded for, Oshie had his most productive seasons the last two years, Oshie in the Olympics, that skill during shoot outs doesn’t help in the playoffs, he never really turned into that 30 goal guy we expected him to turn into, he kind of defines the Blues the past couple of years – great during the regular season and lacking in the playoffs, Joe Strauss, not surprised Oshie was traded but maybe surprised as to where he went, it would be disappointing if they traded Shattenkirk, lack of trust between Garcia and Cards’ medical staff, Cards fire scouting director Chris Correa, Doug’s Mount Rushmore of women’s soccer players – Mia Hamm, Abby Wambach, Hope Solo and Marta, Jenna’s grandma Betty calls in, followed by not the real Betty.

SEGMENT 2 – Joey Chestnut loses the hotdog eating competition, wouldn’t it be interesting to see Joey Chestnut immeadiately after eating all the hotdogs, audio clip from Joey Chestnut before the competition, puts on 22 pounds during the competition, Plowsie was disappointed with the fireworks display at Busch this year, is Oklahoma or Kansas more boring to drive through, Tommyy Pham pulling his weight out of Triple A, Rick Hummel, Tommy Pham’s hitting and Kolten Wong’s great play, Holliday back for the Pittsburgh series, Jaime Garcia is a loss but he should be back soon, Matt Carpenter’s striking out too much – something seems off, Heyward hitting in the 4 spots, Heyward, Peralta and Holliday when he’s back and healthy – best hitting trifecta, predicts Wacha, Rosenthal and Molina will join Holliday and Peralta in the ASG line up, people overlooked how crucial Adams was to lose, Cards get 2 All-Star starters, Holliday clip about his selection, the fact that this was Holliday’s first fan vote really meant something to him, everyone talked about the Padres making great moves in the off-season, but they have not preformed as expected, Jenna’s weekend on the river and Doug’s fear of serpants. SEGMENT 3 – Charlie was a little disappointing how quickly the game was over yesterday, says you new it was over after the second goal, the Cat loves patriotism, Doug says something about the women’s team is more pure, why do you think the USA women’s team seems to have so much more success than the USA men’s team?, it seems like every kid in America plays soccer, but all the outstanding athletes seem to choose other sports, kids seem to be specializing in one sport earlier these days, soccer is a very interactive and preticipatory game both reasons why so many kids play so young, Adam Oates, Brouwer is a great all around player, Capitols made some trades and got rid of two bigger guys, it’s very hard to win in the game of hockey – no matter how good you are in the regular season, many players who had their prime years in STL come back to settle here, parents getting too involved in sports officiating – it’s embarrassing, United States soccer teams trying to be like European football clubs, Mike Lee calls in, Charlie caught himself saying ‘snootful’ over the weekend, chuckled to himself afterward, Charlie routes for rivals, the better the rivalry is the sweeter the wins are, Doug and the Cat are going to host a World Cup of poker – their ticket out of the business, what did everyone call their grandparents as kids.
