SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Huge weekend in STL sports plus that Final Four, captain’s log, game balls from Doug for the Cardinals getting their first win, Blues get regulation win over Blackhawks at United Center for the first time in a while, Doug with his hockeyism analysis, Plow Boy with good ‘purr’ drop…, wondering about the goalie situation between Jake Allen or Brian Elliott, back to baseball where urinating was an issue, comparing Wrigley Field to an ‘old lady’, reports about the fans who could not wait in the long lines to relieve themselves, solutions on what Wrigley could do about this issue…, Cubs pawned by the Birds with Adam Wainwright getting the win, Carlos Martinez plus Trevor Rosenthal looking good, Jason Heyward with big Cardinals debut, annoying stuff from color analyst Curt Schilling on the ESPN broadcast, Plow Boy taking shot at Schilling via the Twitter tweets…, Schilling had nothing nice to say about Carlos Martinez which did not sit well with Plowsie, want to hear from texter/callers about NHL playoff picture as well as the weeing at Wrigley, most watching the game getting to see how thin Yadier Molina is for the first time, certainly should be less stress on his body, may start simulcasting 7a hour on 50,000 watts…, Alpena looking to collect from Doug on their March Madness bet, idiotic moment from Andrew Harrison making racial slur about Frank Kaminsky during postgame interview following Kentucky’s loss to Wisconsin, Tim doing some hedging for the action over the weekend, want to have cake plus eat it too, anticipation of Kentucky-Duke would have been huge, not as big a story with Wisconsin-Duke, those Badgers a bunch of white guys… & remembering that other great white team from Hickory (Indiana) in the 1950s coached by Norman Dale.
SEGMENT 2 – Oh Billy…, Tim doing his Vin Scully…, Jeff Ponder of InsideSTL joins the show, lot of dialect from The Cat for one question about goalie controversy, not about feelings this time of the year, Jake Allen is the Blues #1 goalie, we will see Brian Elliott more this week who can reclaim the spot, would like to see Blues start Allen in Game 1 of playoff at this point, seeing Ryan Reaves remove a tooth on the bench, ate too many peeps for Easter, ‘The Note’ really on a roll winning three straight, comeback win on Friday in Dallas was really special seeing them score 7 goals, giving a lot of credit to Ken Hitchcock, ol’ coach certainly has experience, simple timeout during Friday game that changed things for the better, team has to control destiny with three games remaining, more about how team plays than achieving regular season accolades, Alexander Steen skating the other day, expecting him and Vladimir Tarasenko to return soon, Joe Roderick turning 30-years-old, Doug wishes he were 30 again & should be celebrating with Jiffy Pop.
SEGMENT 3 – Cardinals might not lose this season, Tim tells us about his Opening Day fantasy team, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, not the best looking start from Adam Wainwright yet the ace made it work, Cubs certainly were exposed in a few areas including Jon Lester not holding baserunners, Waino demonstrated command whereas Lester struggled to find consistency, seeing shakeup on basepaths with some steals, going to get caught when being aggressive, relief pitching looked very good tallying up strikeouts, going to be interesting how other teams in the division will attack Lester with running games, suspect that Cardinals will continue to run looking to be opportunistic according to Mike Matheny, shifting to Blues with their big win, sarcasm about Hitch getting to keep his job, too much angst when the club loses lately, seeing Jake Allen help team win at United Center certainly had to grab coach’s attention, need to keep Allen on standby if going to stick with Brian Elliott, probably need to start Elliott for Game 1 of the playoffs for the team psychological standpoint, Blues trending upwards contrary to last season in which they limped into the postseason, curious if anything was said between coach and players after controversial loss to Canucks last week, need to hear more about Robert Bortuzzo after leaving game with injury on Sunday evening, not too much interest in Wisconsin-Duke…, tough weekend playing cards, dealing with hoosier gentleman at HPT…, mind your own cards, Steve in Wildwood calls with an issue, telling young teenager about the birds and bees, some real gray area comments…, do not agree with how Steve conducts the lesson, let’s leave the kids out of this…, that chick who sings with the mask because she’s not attractive, taking shots at Lady Gaga, Iggy quickly texts Tim on this, that Meghan Trainor more than just about that bass, the weekend that was for Plow Boy enjoying some Easter green bean casserole, Tim only eating protein bars, one of the online services that deliver food, two Asian guys on hold, Mike Lee gets on the air, some kind of prank on Penny…, working on Cletus’ driveway, he describes his joke on Penny…, Mike with an audio postcard, describing that weird audio, support the sponsors, Brian Haenchen of InsideSTL joins the show, working the sports desk late for Fox Sports Midwest, interesting doings by Plow Boy towards Brian…, his different thoughts on the Blues victory, do not want those Blackhawks in the first round, seeing Corey Crawford hit another gear in April, man who likes to write about the Blues instead of the Cardinals, team has reached goalie controversy if they already have not, tough outing for Ells on Friday in Dallas, do not see how Hitch can take starting job from Ells at this point, considers Allen to be more volatile though he can probably steal more games than his partner, the last three games should go to Elliott to give him momentum for playoffs, insight on some day-to-day injuries, seems to be chasm between our two hockey writers, accidental gong & support the sponsors.
SEGMENT 4 – Loving the production, fat shaming, support the sponsors, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, very impressive debut all-around from Jason Heyward, quality yet somewhate shaky start from Adam Wainwright, home plate umpire Mike Winters with interesting strike zone, Jon Lester had tough time across the board from the start, thoughts on Wrigley Field mess, lots of work to be done, defensive issues will probably be issue for Cubs throughout the season, lot of work to be done from fundamental standpoint for the young North Siders, figure they will still score a lot of runs once Kris Bryant and Addison Reed make the big club, cannot go from last to first without plenty of growing pains, support the sponsors, Curt Schilling making awkward joke about his sex life during the ESPN broadcast, explaining things to our kids, do not hear a lot of gentleman named ‘Kyle’, fun facts about shortstops batting cleanup on Opening Day, other old-fashioned names not heard much anymnore, naming a child after Quin Snyder, Willie finds this hilarious, Doug tells him it’s not that funny, support the sponsors, looking forward to Calvin May’s first question next week, we’re enraptured with ESPN reported Kaylee Hartung, Willie thinks he has a shot, Doug disagrees, some more background on Ms. Hartung, Doug explains why Willie needs to be realistic, moving onto Allie LaForce, some fan proposed to her on the air, our buddy Chris Pelikan calls about some background on Hartung, very direct opinion from his time down in Texas…, she seems bubbly/perky on the air, getting back to running the 40 in Vegas, thinking the Casino Queen might be a better venue the next time, #Scoops providing the medical community with the proper equipment these days, could be feud brewing with Charlie Marlow… & support our wonderful spoonsors.
