SEGMENT 1 – Show Open & TJ Moe: “Smorg” of topics, the weekend it was, games being played off the field, Rams beating the Broncos the lead, Doug was half fan half journalist for Rams game, breaking down the shocking win, 4-6 record at the end of the 8-game gauntlet, lots of orange at The Dome, saw some guile from Shaun Hill, cannot start two QBs, belief that Rams are one quality QB plus maybe one playmaker (WR) from being ‘there’, comments from Joe Buck about Stan Kroenke, haven’t really heard anyone that has Joe’s cache speak like that about the situation, praise for Dave Peacock, Stan maybe not aware of all the hoops he’ll have to jump through, developing ownership group amongst ourselves, Doug did not want to violate network rules, shifting to Mizzou who maybe had their most complete game of the season, hello TJ in New Orleans, if only the Tiggers could’ve played that way against Indiana or Georgia, biggest weapon for Mizzou has been there defense, strength of schedule argument does not always hold up, still can open up the eyes of the college football playoff committee, heck of spot to be considering all the adversity Mizzou has gone through, trying to explain the true road win streak going back to 11/24/12, trip to Atlanta on the mind & caliber of defense really can be the equalizer.
SEGMENT 2 – Jim Thomas: Loving the comments from Joe Buck, those Blues also playing their most complete game over the weekend, slow start but now among the best in the league, fun to watch STL line, calling someone ‘bub’, tough turnaround for the Blues visiting Eastern Conference teams, some suspensions, have to figure TCU is out of playoff picture barely beating Kansas, seems to be national hatred for Florida State, oddity of lame duck coach, similar situations, apparently FSU fans have embraced the ‘Us vs The World’ mentality, more suspensions, hello Jim, the Rams beating the Broncos one of the more surprising that he has seen covering the team, not giving up the big play besides the one score, seeing Rams defenders clobber the opposition, did not see a lot of sacks but plenty of pressure on Peyton Manning, impressive day for Greg Zuerlein kicking four field goals, reaction to comments from Joe Buck on Stan Kroenke, definitely of the belief that Kroenke does want to re-locate the franchise, wondering who is doing key bumps, sounds between coughing and chair, Kroenke hurting feelings of fans, text of the day & learning how KFC serves potato wedges instead of standard fries or tots.
SEGMENT 3 – Joe Strauss & Fun with Audio: Enjoyed “The Cardigans”, Saints fan stole ball from Bengals fan, “can’t wait to see you score again”, confusing Uday Hussein with Hoda Kotb, hello Joe, those Rams dominating the Broncos, never saw them make the big game-changing mistake, certainly a big day for Tre Mason running for 100+ yards, Shaun Hill not prolific but had some more zip (than Austin Davis) on his throws, thoughts on Joe Buck’s comments, remembering that Jeff Fisher would be willing to move when hired, no sign of ambivalence from Kroenke, thoughts on ‘Truman up’, defense leading the way, parity in the SEC becoming more exposed, Tigers will have to beat both Tennessee and Arkansas, the Vols (-3) are favorite for matchup vs Mizzou, shifting from fortunate to just plain good, embarrassing ‘Truman down’ with basketball team losing to the Roos of UMKC, rooting for Kim Anderson, pleasantly surprised by SLU in their first game, quick thoughts on the first-place Blues, Doug guessing Clay Travis’ SEC Power Rankings, trolling Mizzou fans on Twitter, Doug not ready to get into bracketology, advantage of having invisible 7-foot player, Kimmy Gibler causing trouble, fond memories of boxing match at the strip club, Doug will not move to Southwest region, thinking Doug’s brother is jealous of journalism, talk a lot about Frank Haith, playing abroad, all about Twitter these days, being eaten alive, Jim Harbaugh said his defense “competed like the dickens”, how someone gets into the anaconda & depends on boy or girl anaconda.
SEGMENT 4 – Email of the Day
