SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Hello from Meadowbrook Country Club, shows happening all day at the Pujols/Holliday Golf Tournament, set right next to shrubbery that have yellow jackets, Joe Roderick said he did not care, Cardinals players excited to join the show, comedian George Lopez the co-host, be tough for Albert Pujols to join the presentation, everyone doing well this morning, quite the spot Joe picked since everyone has to pass by the location, Doug purchased some pulled pork for his son’s graduation party from a gentleman named Ollie behind a warehouse in South County, Redbirds have a solid end to their weekend after a rough tough start against the Milwaukee Brewers, schedule coming up looking very favorable, Oscar Taveras really starting to settle in only days after Allen Craig was traded, debuts for Justin Masterson and John Lackey, loved the speeches from the NFL Hall of Famers including Aeneas Williams, Doug might play some golf & hello Jim Edmonds who just broke his phone, the old days of hanging out more in the clubhouse especially drinking and smoking.
SEGMENT 2 – Jim Thomas: Shhhh… (Billy G is playing), hello Jim, memories of Tower Tee, Rams Fest over the weekend, looking forward to the first preseason vs the New Orleans Saints this Friday, do not expect Sam Bradford to play, problem with Steadman Bailey due to miss first four games of regular season, depth chart order of WRs at the moment, Aaron Donald already looking to be very promising entering his rookie season, some concerning reports about Bradford, amount of wins for Rams and Mizzou this season, hello again to Edmonds, Joe Roderick had no phone over the weekend & Jimmy giving the guff to Doug.
SEGMENT 3 – Joe Strauss: Hello Joe, Cardinals and Oscar Taveras having a nice weekend, big turnaround for Redbirds against Brewers coming home from rough road trip, sense of urgency, definitely some upset about how Allen Craig and Joe Kelly discovered they had been traded, certainly a continuing adjustment process for Taveras moving forward, some not so pleased with rookie’s work ethic (gaining weight in the off-season; concern about body type), comapring Oscar to other big prospect rookies that did or did not fit in well with clubhouse, Jimmy back on the air, how players react to teammates being traded & being acquired by the Cardinals for Kent Bottonfield.
SEGMENT 4 – Enjoying ourselves at Meadowbrook, have not seen any players just yet, Jim helping us with waters and donuts, hello to Lou Brock, can be seen all over Ladue News, always part of many great charity tournaments, thoughts on the trades happening last week, Jimmy getting CC’ed too much on emails, we see Jeff Abeln with his $100 haricut, ESPNU showing college football’s best games from 2013-14 (Alabama vs Auburn was #1), hello to Hall of Fame manager Tony La Russa, Jimmy was hoping to see Willie on location, hello to “Caller Dan” & need to go shave some strokes before hitting the course.
SEGMENT 5 – Nice choice Plow Boy going with the Seals & Crofts, song is now 42 years old this month, need to go hit some balls before hitting the course, hello Jeff Abeln, how to get hair like him, Seth Manness and Sam Freeman yell from the putting greens, hello Darren Pang, happens to be Panger’s home course, Joe Roderick goes to interrupt Manness while he’s on the putting green, asking the Cardinals’ pitcher the tough questions, George Lopez waived as he walked by the show & Tim taking off to hit.
