SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Tough deciding what the lead is this morning, consensus came back Cardinals’ fifth starter decision, SLU basketball already days old, Blues with a surprising impressive win visiting the Pittsburgh Penguins after a rough little stretch, tournament talk, some big doings with audio, Doug married to journalism, Mizzou fans running their mouths after the Kansas Jayhawks fall in the Third Round of the tourney, natural passion to cry when your team loses, conspiracy that NCAA Tournament Selection Committee stacked the Midwest Region to make things as tough as possible for Wichita State to make the Final Four, wondering if there were really twenty better teams than the Kentucky Wildcats who are a #8 seed, the difference in attitude between a twink and bear according to Doug, small penis pride, an explanation of tweet deck, a winning lottery ticket has been sold in Missouri, some bold predictions from Rich, Willie’s big Sunday plus his thoughts on Robin Wright’s neck slope & not sure what the slope of the neck is.
SEGMENT 2 – Joe Strauss: Appropriate to hear Mr. Gillman this morning, Joe a bear when it comes to twitter, Joe Kelly not Carlos Martinez named the Cardinals fifth stater, the logical choice was made by the Redbirds even though Martinez might be there in the end depending on many things, some potential benefit to keeping Martinez fresh as he could be a big impact starter come the later months of the season and possibly the postseason, the politics behind the decision especially since Kelly has been more than reliable for the starting rotation more than once, definitely an advantage for Kelly looking his maturity compared to young Martinez, Kolten Wong more than likely to start at 2B by default since Mark Ellis is a bit dinged up, jury still out on the former first round pick who certainly picked up his game after a slow start, Matt Adams certainly is one player that play into fan arousal, the battle in center field can become a real creative situation for the manager, relief pitcher Jorge Rondon in an interesting case, the frustration with Oscar Tavares, Joe’s thoughts on the tourney and SLU’s season, his VCU Rams falling in the Second Round, teams remaining to be bullish on, back in STL perhaps tomorrow, a picture photoshopped by Willie illustrating Robin Wright’s slope of the neck & the delicious STL Wing Co.
SEGMENT 3 – Bob Ramsey: Billikens shortcomings vs Louisville on Saturday, offense struggled against that zone defense, what SLU has coming back next season, not a lot of minutes for the returning players, Villanova transfer Achraf Yacoubou hopefully will be a nice addition, choosing to remember the accolades of the Senior class instead of the tough finish, perhaps the best run for the SLU men’s basketball program in the modern era, wondering about the quality of french fries in prisons, looking to play some audio, Willie not around to explain the audio, Mike claims that Willie went for a recreational, Willie returns from upstairs listening to the InsideSTL stream on his phone, he refuses to admit where he was & no date at SwingHaven over the weekend.
SEGMENT 4 – Reed Low & Fun with Audio: Big doings for the Blues coming up while still on the road, Cat always refers to Reed as ‘sir’ when working with him at Fox Sports Midwest, people sometimes try to get on his dance card when out and about, really have to like what you see out of this first-place team, the Blues don’t have the superstar goal scorer but have incredible balance, liking the Reed a regular, still sideways with Willie, getting back to the audio where the trouble with Willie began, Andrew Catalon used an ethnic slur that’s been used to describe the Polish, Doug talks about the time when these type of incidents were not that big of a deal, more audio, Greg Gumbel confused Dayton coach Archie Miller with his brother who is Arizona coach Sean Miller, drinking beer in the car because of being in a frat, Willie being insubordinate, geese formations & more information on geese.
SEGMENT 5 – Email of the Day: High pitched singing gentleman, hitting the wrong lever with the phone, Missouri lost to Southern Miss on Sunday, Mizzou pride, NIT doings & liking those Golden Gophers.
