SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Hello from Ryan Kelley headquarters in Clayton, got through the snow, people with 4WD snailing along on the highway, people lying to get off work, obligation to the show, evolution of the shovel, random movie review for “Fifty Shades of Grey”, ‘Plain Jane’ beauties, guy isn’t too hoth either, SNL40 moments, did watch a lot of the show, big Sunday night show for Doug, non-funny moments with Chevy Chase or Eddie Murphy, do not think Kanye West or Miley Cyrus scream 40 years of SNL, Martin Short appeared to be the most comfortable, seeing all the celebrities on stage, Larry Nickel speaking about himself in the third person, amount of production work into that kind of show, lot of cues certainly off, Doug explains that the news isn’t designed to be funny, trying to figure out the allure of Anne Hathaway and Taylor Swift, Chevy not looking too good, another ‘Vacation’ movie releasing this Summer, two weeks from Spring Training at the picnic table, PocketTube will provided facetime interaction with listeners, support our wonderful sponsors, Big Al calls to threaten listeners with ‘severe consequences’, Blues win both games in Florida coming home with second most points in the league, poll question wondering about current feeling on the Blues, the ‘wait and see’ approach, Doug does not want to wait and see…, InsideSTL Blues writer Jeff Ponder joins the show, perspective on cautious optimism, tough postseason with goalies, seeing plenty of good depth, figuring the Blues will make any trade deadline changes, hoping Kevin Shattenkirk will eventually return (thinking early April), generally not allowing easy or big chances, that sense the Blues gives in the postseason, reasons for the understood skepticism, Blues will have to win about twenty more games to set franchise single- season point record, big week ahead with Bruins plus Penguins visting this weekend, Doug grew up cheering for ‘les Habitants’, Doug upset with Blues travel schedule, visiting Canadian cities this time of the year, Doug upset with Blues’ pessimists, telling the Blues ‘good luck’ & like that Backs and Jax the best.
SEGMENT 2 – Need facetime to conduct our business, Doug still miffed about some of those Blues fans, Rams promoting coaches in-house with Frank Cignetti, reassured confidence from Rams towards Sam Bradford, expecting one more QB on the roster, can’t count on someone like Jameis Winston to be the face of franchise, odd that Bradford has input, 2015 could be a big year for St. Louis, concerns about the Cardinals, Matt Adams needs to be pivotal this year, best position players may have peaked, Cardinals over under, Doug would like Allen Craig to be a comeback player, empty baseball stadiums, would not like to bet against the Cardinals, a lot of question marks going into the season, Steve in Wildwood has an issue with Doug, harder to make playoffs in the NFL, the past has no bearing on what will happen this season, it’s ok to live and die with your team, Doug is fired up.
SEGMENT 3 – Support those sponsors, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, Doug fired up by the poll question, skepticism towards the Blues, Elliott stole the game last night, regardless of the regualar season the team will be judged by the post-season, Elliott is one of the top goalies in the league, playing up expectations, Blues fans are skeptical, Cardinals season not usually charaterized as a dissapointment, Blues fans are still loyal regardless of the past, bandwagon fans, Bradford’s involvement with the Cignetti promotion, Rams thought of as ‘stale’, Fisher will tie his legacy in St. Louis to Bradford, Rams track record is defined as insanity, San Diego is having a stadium meeting today, Raider’s seem to be a popular hypothesis if the Rams were to leave, Strauss’ opinion on the MLB over/under & lots of love for the Cubs within the media.
SEGMENT 4 – Doug still has his reserves about doing facetime with listeners, excited to hear about the lesbian excursion that was suppose to happen, Scott Reid of the Orange County Register joins the show, no surprise that the Hollywood Park Land Company made biggest donations to campaign of Mayor James Butts, deal is done for Kroenke if he can get the 24 votes from the NFL owners, possible other issues that could be trouble, possibilities that just Kroenke (not the Rams) go to Los Angeles, getting a football team not an obsession in the LA area, some Rams fan yet Raiders have larger base, the favorite in LA is every team, belief there will be two teams playing here by next year, Inglewoods descisions, issues with the stadium, traffic be a factor, governmental process, landscape for the Chargers and the Raiders, team is worth $2B at least, obstacles of the stadium deal falling apart, would be difficult to get a stadium deal in San Diego, sports is what we have in STL, robin-feeding in “Fifty Shades of Grey”, movies to see before the Academy Awards, Ryan Kelley drops by the presentation, RK takes care of his employees, Janie (or Janey) our new lesbian friend recaps her Valentine’s Day plans, nothing unfortnately happened but the straight friend still seems to be curious, Tim digs for more details, Janie (or Janey) already on the Facebook fan page, number of females on the fan page, Willie and Plowsy’s Mardi Gras experience.
