SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: All Blues plus all Cardinals after the weekend that was, captain’s log, remembering a time not long ago when Blues had momentum in series as well as healthy status for Adam Wainwright, thought that Blues would finally put things together, soft goals allowed by Jake Allen in Game 5 plus Game 6, inconsistent goaltending one thing (as usual for Blues in April) yet offense non-existent once more, odd comment from Ken Hitchcock thinking that their best games were the last three, becoming tradition in STL to lose Game 5 at Scottrade with inevitable Game 6 looming, hearing from David Backes about team getting away from game plus getting bounced in first round for third straight year, wondering who will pay the price between roster or management, The Cat thinks Hitch will be back if he chooses to return plus we’ll see roster shakeup, Doug likes Hitch moving forward, probably shake up roster whether they stick with Hitch or not, sense from Brian Elliott that he wore ‘Blue Note’ for the last time, do not blame them for probably requesting trade, Wild were tough matchup for the Blues, tough to admit that Wild are better going line by line, lots of reaction from the text line, plenty of criticism towards the core of the team, Alpena wondering who the Blues will part company with during the off-season, maybe more about how the team can get better, thought they addressed offense issues by signing Paul Stastny about a year ago, Tim would be shocked if Hitch returns, feeling that decision would be mutual, some tells going back to last week plus comments from players like TJ Oshie, Doug hopes that Oshie returns because he just bought that kind of sweater for his boys, Big Al calls with some suggestions on how to use the Oshie sweater, Blues are the opposite to winning type teams (Cardinals, Spurs, Patriots, etc.), Paul calls agreeing with Tim on Hitch, liking Kirk Muller as the next head coach if Hitch does not return, Jimmy the Bull calls, feels that Blues will never win, Jimmy then “Pinkel’d” us, “Angry Adam” from Old Monroe (MO) calls saying he send some kind of mysterious package to Doug…, Brian Haenchen of InsideSTL joins the show, cannot figure out why the Blues stopped scoring, physical play not translating into success, Wild made it point not to engage with extra-curricular activity, does not Hitch returning, definitely see core being broken up, lead culprit would be TJ Oshie considering some postseason comments, also believes that Elliott will be gone soon, not putting much blame on the performance from Allen, fine work by Haenchie this season, Rick calls claiming the Blues lose due to “Cardinals curse”, Doug not buying the curse factor but Cat plus Tim not dispelling just yet…, some information that Rick got from his son…, Eric calls making odd noise, some quote from Billy Ocean, reassessing the curse factor plus the going getting tough…, wondering if Rams distracted by stadium situation, odd that Hitch says he will be sticking with Allen on national broadcast only moments before he pulls them & support the sponsors!

SEGMENT 2 – Billy Gilman watching “The Little Mermaid” late last night, lot of Blues dicussion this morning, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, not sure about Ken Hitchcock staying or going, cannot be-grudge franchise for wanting to make wholesale changes if they decide, cannot pin whole thing on Hitch, feeling somewhat fooled by this particular roster after some recent trends before postseason, not being able to find higher gear like other better teams, Blues could not isolate the better players from Wild, time to stop trying to figure out why they cannot take next step, almost insulting (for fans and media) to keep asking why…, have to acknowledge reality at some point, shifting to the Cardinals who probably lost Adam Wainwright for the season, Joe was big advocate for Cardinals getting outside help during Spring Training, not only about this season but from a long term perspective too, making ‘dumpster dive’ for short term solution will not solve issues current and coming, have to consider giving up top prizes (Carlos Martinez or Marco Gonzalez), do not see leader/ace for pitching staff, curent status of the trade market for someone like Cole Hamels, huge leap of faith believing that Michael Wacha can quickly be the new ace of the staff, The Cat with his take on possible trade, rest of the captain’s log, DraftKings over the weekend & ship some action today (DraftKings.com/Insidestl).

SEGMENT 3 – Tough to re-live that Game 6…, wondering if Rams will pile on this week…, lot of reaction this morning, curious about purple seats at Scottrade Center, bowling at Flamingo downtown, Elisabeth Meinecke of Fox Sports Midwest joins the show, interesting that Ken Hitchcock said the Blues played their best in the final three games of the series, strong relationship between Hitch and Doug Armstrong, Blues really do not have anyone with deep postseason experience like the Blackhawks, not seeing players like Olli Jokinen or Robert Bortuzzo during the Wild series, expect to discover a few things over the next few days, Hitch relationship with players comparable to old married couple, Doug curious about her work with the Meineke muffler franchise, oh Doug…, sign up for the upcoming wiffle ball tourney which will be supports 3 Little Birds 4 Life, Jeff calls the show, not there…, Charlie calls the show, he’s not there either…, Plow Boy explains the phones, boring series vs Wild…, Doug says that playoff bears need to stop, Alpena like the “Ning” (Lightning) moving forward, Doug breaks down the “Ning”, Charlie calls again…, on the speaker…, calling again from the shower, tough on Oshie, lots of opinions…, Jim calls, he saw Blues play in Stanley Cup Finals when he was 6-years-old, he called last year about this, Steve in Wildwood calls with some passionate upset takes & Willie forgot Bob’s number on his coffee table one more.

SEGMENT 4 – Adam Wainwright describing the feeling of his injury, support the sponsors, Rick Hummel of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, not expecting any good news today, supposing that Cardinals will try to solve issue within (to begin with), Marco Gonzalez made team out of Spring Training yet did not have rotation spot, Jaime Garcia still a few weeks away, day-to-day with Jason Heyward tweeking his groin, Yadier Molina perhaps returning to action today, losing Waino certainly evens things up within Central Division, odd game yesterday to end road trip, some bench guys like Peter Bourjos will be getting some action, not hearing much about Trevor Rosenthal early in the season, support the sponsors, Jake calls with such a 7a hour question…, young man ripping on the old guys, Doug tries to pep him up, but then POT HIM DOWN!!!, kind of sounded like Weezer…, Durham calls, POT HIM DOWN!!!, Chaps calls with some stuff, POT HIM DOWN!!!, Jeff Ponder of InsideSTL.com joins the show, his take on what went wrong for the Blues, does not look at the head coach being the issue, hinting at leadership within the dressing room being the issue, expecting Brian Elliott to request trade, thought that Elliott felt he should’ve started Game 6, giving hot take in kind hearted way…, Stanley Cup Playoffs tougher than any other postseason tourney, Fuelsie calls, snipes Doug good…, Rich calls, players being too comfortable & support the sponsors!
