SEGMENT 1 – Show Open & Joe Strauss: Crazy end to the Cardinals, unfortunately some real issues moving forward, not sure about the severity of injury to Yadier Molina, not sure about the effectiveness or healthy of Adam Wainwright, on-going lack of confidence in Trevor Rosenthal, the matchups moving forward not too bad for Redbirds especially with John Lackey for Game 3, hello Rudy who has experience with a torn oblique muscle, baseball player generally needs 6-8 weeks to fully recover from a oblique muscle injury, the Cardinals do pull off some incredible things but just do not see how they can overcome losing Yadi, hello Joe, be surprised if we see Molina again this series, less than 50% that he’d play if they made the World Series, best man to fill in for Yadi moving forward, Tony Cruz did not look good behind the plate in Game 2, expect Cards to play with 24-man roster for rest of the series hoping Yadi can return, belief that Matheny will stick with Rosenthal as the closer, interesting line of questions before Game 2 regarding Oscar Taveras then slugs pinch-hit home run hours later, premise did not change with one swing of the bat, John Mozeliak talking about Taveras training in the United States during the off-season, belief there will be a trade this winter involving Oscar to alleviate pressure in the outfield, no explanation on power surge, skeptical to believe Cardinals or Wainwright on health yet buying what they’re selling, theory of refusing to admit their putting out best option to win, not having Waino face Madison Bumgarner could be more ideal but now logistically impossible & theories on how to save the arm of someone like Wainwright throughout the regular season.
SEGMENT 2 – Nice shots from Doug at Busch Stadium all weekend, interesting #BFIB couple yelling nicknames plus making out for the kiss cam from Game 1 on Friday night, between yelling ‘Marp!’ and making out to get on the kiss cam, the fantastic calls from the Kolten Wong walk-off home run including FOX Deportes, weaving in live reads, fantastic cheers from the fans, real smokers look down on the vapor users, Plow Boy more of a Greek mythology believer, hot take on Tony Romo plus those 5-1 Dallas Cowboys, covering the Rams-49ers, the players have given up with poor Cal May, to the phone line, Cardinals nicknames, calling Jon Jay the “Chief Justice” since the first-ever was indeed John Jay (October 19, 1789 “ June 29, 1795) & the studio door is still making noises.
SEGMENT 3 – Andy Benes: “That’s My Kind Of Win”, need more simple lyrics, get to that Ballpark Village this week, hello Andy, loving the atmosphere at BPV all season, Game 1 was a stinker, Game 2 with incredible ebbs and flow plus crazy ending, Mike Matheny handling the closer position moving forward, wondering if Tony Cruz will be the one to replace Yadier Molina, the concerns with Adam Wainwright simply considering production statistics such as lack of strikeout against an average Giants lineup, wondering if Michael Wacha could a factor in the rest of the series, trashed chicken fingers, Redbirds flipping the bats, hearing that Cards may not use Michael Wacha at all & one fan on Twitter deciding what the ‘Cardinal Way’ is.
SEGMENT 4 – Jason Isringhausen: New Cardinals postseason rally song called “Cards”, that “Cardinals Fox” song, hello Izzy, left Game 2 after the game-tying Giants run on the wild pitch, retweeting hateful trolls, Trevor Rosenthal getting himself into trouble, only a matter of time when closer keeps letting runners on base, thinking that there will be a short leash from here on out, not the time to begin a closer experiment with Michael Wacha, looking back at Tony Cruz catching Rosie in the ninth, betting that Yadier Molina is in tremedous pain this morning considering he had an oblique muscle injury at one point, crazier things have happened but not buying that Yadi will be day-to-day & something not right with Adam Wainwright not getting full extension.
SEGMENT 5 – TJ Moe: “St. Louis in October”, the new nicknames of Jon Jay, Doug not impressed with our country’s first Chief Justice, kickball goes beyond competitive, not sure we will see any points with Mizzou vs Florida, Doug could not recognize Mizzou at first with uniforms, big time disappointment with the offense, hello TJ, the big differences in Maty Mauk from this game, the Bulldogs had no issue catching up to him, wide receivers certainly did not have their best games, saw a lot of East-West rushing, do not see much downhill rushing like with Henry Josey a season ago, not expecting to see another loss like that this season, more Cards post game sound with Cal May, sometimes tough to get solid answers from players & making too big of a deal with Kolten Wong comeback story.
SEGMENT 6 – Email of the Day
