The holiday season tends to bring out the best in everyone. The evidence lies no further than a fundraising campaign set up by a loyal CBS Sports 920 listener Bobby Vestal to purchase a used Pontiac Bonneville for The Morning After’s board op, the Peoria Plowboy.
Here is the description of the campaign on GoFundMe.com:
our beloved peoria plowboy is in need of a new ride. he has secured a pontiac bonneville but needs the funds to pay for it. lets help darin get his bonnevillie and give back to him, as he gives us many laughs on the morning after show every morning.
The funds will be used to help buy the car for $800.00, pay taxes and register the car $200.00, and whatever is left over, maybe buy new tires and get it checked out by a mechanic.
As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, $119 has been raised, with two people donating as much as $25. Doug Vaughn even donated $10, saying “you better not buy a phat sack with this money Plowsy.
We want to make it clear we are in no way endorsing this, but it is rather funny to see how much money is being raised for everybody’s favorite board operator.
The Ryan Kelley Morning After talked about the fundraiser during Tuesday’s show. Check it out right here:
