Dave in St. Peters won the GFI Digital Email of the Day on Wednesday’s The Ryan Kelley Morning After for his prose on the trend that is food trucks. Here it is in all its glory:
I have noticed a trend in dining of late, and it comes to us in the form of food trucks. However, I fear this market is saturated, and have come up with a business plan with a lower cost of entry. I intend to pioneer what I like to call “Food Stalls.” I have created a variety of dishes which can be prepared exclusively with electric hot plates, toaster ovens, and crock pots. I will set up shop within the handicapped stall of a different local hardware store each day, so I can provide the sweaty, burly construction guys with something to eat. These hoth guys will just talk through the crack in the door and I will slide their food under the door. And for those who may not have cash on them, all they have to do is tap a foot under the door and I will accept “payments” through a hole in the divider to the next stall. I like to call this a “piggyback payment” and it will be administered through said glory hole. If you guys think this is a sustainable business model and want in on the ground floor, just let me know.
