SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: The Cardinals drop the NLCS to the Giants in five games, Questions about Mike Matheny removing Adam Wainwright after seven innings, roster moves and pitching decisions, ball that tipped off the glove of Pablo Sandoval was an underrated play, use of Michael Wacha in the ninth inning, belief is that the Cards were the better team despite the result, Doug says baseball is a game of “inches”, callers and texters vent their frustration on falling to San Francisco, “The Cat” calls in and says it seems “Waino” was gassed, thinks Adam was trying to get through seven innings, usage of Michael Wacha.

SEGMENT 2 – Jeff Passan: Hello Jeff, he thinks a pitcher knows when he is done (Wainwright), liked Wacha’s velocity in relief and didn’t have much of an issue with him pitching in the ninth inning, Mike Matheny struggled with certain managerial decisions, Trevor Rosenthal was not the answer in the ninth, Cards need to address certain bullpen issues in the offseason, calls Doug a BFIB, more conversation on postseason roster construction and Matheny’s skippering ability, the lede should be that nobody created a serviceable playoff song for the Redbirds, Doug’s hockey talk on the Blues loss in Los Angeles, questions from callers/texters on Waino’s toughness, uh-oh…fire Matheny talk.

SEGMENT 3 – “Interesting” callers and Matthew Leach: “Friend of the show” Chris Pelican calls in and doesn’t like all the blame being placed on Matheny, Doug’s fastball tops out at 60mph, callers/texters think Pelican had a dumb call, caller J.P. from Cincinnati gets snarky about Cards fans, Doug tells J.P. to stop laughing on the phone, Doug offers up a trade of Pete Kozma for Aroldis Chapman, J.P. continues to laugh and Doug once again takes exception, Doug threathens other callers with “pot ’em down” warnings, caller Robert believes the Cards are racist. Matthew Leach joins the show, hello Matthew, he has no problem with removing Wainwright in the seventh inning but feels Wacha was placed in a difficult situation, time for the Friendly’s Picks of the Week, the Bertarelli Cuts of the Week.
