Friday’s Show Audio – Doom and Disappointment

Willie Springer, Fri, 11 Apr 2014 13:17:00 GMT

SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Learning more about Darren, should be in an executive position by now, hoping to shed more light on Mizzou stories, Blues lose their fourth straight, no retaliation for Mike Rupp’s head-hunting hit on TJ Oshie, assuming that Oshie will be out for at least a game or two, very surprised how things have turned based on the Blues’ consistency and depth, apparently won’t say the Blues are playing bad, looking at the developing situation in Columbia between the Mizzou football and men’s basketball programs, the details of the Dorial Green-Beckham case, some of the opinion that DGB should be kicked off the team, if we were to move to Little Rock to do a program…, comparing this troubling situation to others in regards to media coverage of the facts & some interesting listner reaction as always.

SEGMENT 2 – Ask Lawrence & Deanna: Another cheeky union edition with Larry, cut off for some reason, Larry also won the ‘Daily Wrap’ Dating Game on Thursday evening, no response from Larry who hung up, Deanna peacocking around for predicting the Stephen Colbert & just let us peacock.

SEGMENT 3 – Joe Strauss: The struggles of the Blues last night, Miller in goal really concerning, going into playoffs on a slump, real disappointment with the DGB situation at Mizzou, has not really gotten much blowback from column, believs that Mizzou fans or supporters are fed up with the trend of illegal/criminal activity, probably would not send my daughter there, Zach Price’s situation being kicked off the men’s basketball team, comparison/difference between DGB and Price situations & if Joe will change outlook on head coach Gary Pinkel.

SEGMENT 4 – Cuts of the Week (kind of): Gremlins in the phones, let’s move on to the cuts & horrible feedback takes over the airwaves.

SEGMENT 5 – Kelly Chase & Email of the Day: Everything will be okay Willie, these things happen and you have to deal with them , “c’est la vie”, Chaser hops on the show, no retaliation on Mike Rupp after brutal hit on TJ Oshie, team fighting the frustration with only two games left before the playoffs start, Miley Cyrus giving the Blues an extra potentially before the playoffs, was not the time to retaliate last night, Wild were fearful that Blues would do something at the end of the game, team taking some unnecessary penalties but some calls look to be questionable, Willie calming down a bit & those emails.

SEGMENT 6 – Cuts of the Week (for real this time): Since the full version did not air due to gremlins, hear the best/worst of the past week.
