SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Adjust those levels Plow Boy, DraftDay results were tight, the days when we watched “Leave It To Beaver”, Doug’s diet mountain dew is no good this morning, apparently Urban Chestnut does not refer to their fries as fries but ‘pomme frites’, Kolten Wong slugging to big knocks, need a nickname for ol’ Wongsie, discussion of old shows and old actors and old songs, picking out rejoin songs, hearing a little Jack Wagner on the presentation, more song requests, learning what a ‘dime piece’ is, Larry going to work on Facebook with another local news anchor, #AquaFox & looking forward to Doug’s sports report tonight.
SEGMENT 2 – Jim Thomas: Gameday in St. Louis with the Rams kicking the preseason off against the New Orleans Saints, this first game will play out more like the usual fourth game of the preseason, no Sam Bradford…, going to see a lot of Shaun Hill, curious to see Garrett Gilbert, media coverage for Michael Sam in town, hoping Gregg Williams tunes things up but expect basic stuff & national guys taking interest in Aaron Donald plus Kenny Britt.
SEGMENT 3 – Joe Strauss: David Soul really making our money, oh hello Rich…, doubtful that Doug is getting that Cadillac, hello Joe, really like the subtle trends turning for the Cardinals, going to have to score more runs than usual when visiting the Baltimore Orioles, read on Justin Masterson who makes his second start for the Redbirds tonight, the frustration with the slow-working inconsistent Cardinals lineup, Kolten Wong showing more and more power, The Cat absolutely accurate by referring to Joe as a ‘ray of sunshine’, then those two break down Waino’s start on Thursday night, someone refuting the ‘Cardinal Way’ in the clubhouse on Thursday night during the Kolten Wong media scrum, wondering who could’ve said such a thing…
SEGMENT 4 – Ask Lawrence, Cuts of the Week & Email of the Day: The Cat humble bragging about how he hangs out with players, time for the finale of the week that people wait for beginning with Larry, quite a public service we provide, Plow Boy and Plow Girl getting out of town this weekend to Nashville, some interesting dialogue developing on twitter between the two love birds, borrowing a car from the mom of Plow Girl, not a fan of Chicago, kind of a fan of Chicago, Doug doing his best Edward G. Robinson, Plowsie’s living situation looking to move out and spread those wings, texters making Plowsie some indecent proposals…, Plowsie’s interest/disinterest in swinging, The Cat doing some more humble bragging, time to reflect on the week that was, trying to figure out who wrote the script declaring Tim as a ‘local broadcast hero’, Sea Monster weighs in but will not give names & time for the emails.
