SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Hello again Charlie, Doug extra sleepy this morning, long day yesterday with two games plus remote broadcast, The Cat tells tale of the epic Thursday, all the food that was served…, Willie took Plow Boy to ballgame, hearing from Doug first on the Blues 4-2 loss to the Wild going down 1-0 in the series, AND A PURR!!!, people were hoping for purr on last night’s sportscast from Doug, Willie ahead of things, playing Password (“The Cable Guy” style), game show host dying in Jeep accident, that was Larry Blyden who happened to be taking holiday in Morocco, getting offered drugs at all inclusive resorts, turkish delights…, some beef between The Cat and Charlie, Plow Boy tells about his day at the ballpark, do not like sitting in the middle of the row, older women love getting pics with Frank Cusumano, we enjoy a sharp-dressed man, taking pics with fans, Willie was the big deal in Soulard says Plow Boy, Doug who sat with Fingers wanted to see more runs, the big radio personality luncheon, get in with that DraftKings, need to hear some Michigan J. Frog, breaking down the Blues defeat, they have not done well this season with long layoffs, not getting a lot of great chances, analyzing the goals including the wrap around plus the screened shot, Plow Boy plus fans taking shots at Blues during the game, Doug watching the game all over his house, dipping his feet in salts, no mirror on the bedroom ceiling, thought there would could’ve been a miracle comeback for a brief moment, people use cheese grater for their feet, stew of dead skin…, that scene from “Dumb and Dumber” with the pedicure, other NHL action, Doug feels he will never need a pedicure, The Cat hated the experience, hearing some postgame sound, awkward moment between Cal May and Alexander Steen, sometimes the media and mics get too close, our buddy David Solomon (who’s always in the postgame shots) once jabbed player in the face with mic, getting that mic flag on TV, hearing from Ken Hitchcock, coach believes that players should’ve just shot the darn puck more often, more sound from the players with better labels, media essentially a bunch of jackals & looking forward to the wiffle ball tourney.
SEGMENT 2 – Hearing some highlights from the Blues loss, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch joins the show, surprised by the way the Blues loss, lack of emotion, not sure if picking fight helps, taking crowd out of game, correlation between team energy and Robert Bortuzzo, shifting to the Cardinals seeing production from Matt Holliday plus Matt Carpenter, not a ton of power or runs, need lineup to be a bit more prolific, Redbirds have opportunity to break out with Reds visiting, pressure put on Matt Adams when Cards signed Mark Reynolds, thinking that John Lackey likes pitching at Busch, time for STL to show off their stadium pics, Charlie planning date with Joe, perception of John Lackey coming to STL, his kid hanging around during postgame, The Cat getting called “dude” by his son, need to hear “sick…”, wondering if Lackey would like better contract sooner than later, just talking one-year extension, depending on how Marco Gonzalez or Carlos Martinez do this season, debate on Allen Craig situation from a season ago, Brian Haenchen of InsideSTL joins the show, overall thoughts on the Blues loss, Jake Allen looked a tad uncomfortable at the beginning, not trying to imply that Allen played poorly, hearing some boos from the crowd late in the game, had feeling of poor preseason peformance, panic level not high unless they lose Game 2, love that gong, life far more easier than now, softer as a species, killing one of us to survive, Bertarelli Cutlery Cuts of the Week, kebob heaven yesterday, no fruit & support the sponsors!
SEGMENT 3 – Hearing highlights from the Blues loss, getting “doubled up”…, Jeff Ponder of InsideSTL.com joins the show, rivalry with Haenchen getting more hot, playing too cute, just need to drive the net, handling the Wild speed, looking ahead to Game 2, oh that Britt McHenry video at towing company, some people have bad days, audio a tad sketchy, hear some things clearly, obviously the clerk/cashier said some things too, not clear on who started what…, we’ll now remember McHenry for this when we first see this, we don’t know much beyond what the video provides, we should do the same thing since we work in media, Charlie saw Doug do this once at Taco Bell (no video exists…), deciding when it’s time to slap a clerk, need to hear more from Plow Boy, fantasy doings in the InsideSTL.com league, consider Doug to be the Todd Frazier of this presentation, Charlie sees Doug as more of a Aaron Harang…, love that chicken salad at Llywelyns’s, new experience with fries for Willie, mixing sweet with salty, that McDonald’s likes to come out with products but suddenly get rid of them, suspensions earned & St. Louis FC hosting Rochester this weekend.
