SEGMENT 1 – Show Open: Charlie in for The Cat, another loss for the Cardinals last night, can’t seem to get that “big hit”, still no power, pondering moving Carpenter into the middle of the order, Royals bullpen looks so much better than that of the Cardinals, AC issues in San Antonio last night, LeBron cramped up late in the fourth quarter and the Spurs ran away with the W, we got a caller with questions in regards to Doug’s boy dungeon, Doug isn’t a fan of cuts of the week, taking some calls, Paul from the wealthy part of West County is not popular among the texters, chicken and waffle sandwich at White Castle, Joan Rivers turns 81 on Sunday, Plowboy’s girlfriend allegedly on Tinder, Charlie driving to St. Marys Ohio today & Plowboy could one day run this fine company.
SEGMENT 2 – Jim Thomas: Hello JT, a fight broke out during OTAs yesterday between Kenny Britt and Trumaine Johnson, Mizzou grad TJ Moe looking good thus far, could have an opportunity with Stedman Bailey out for the first four weeks of regular season, Sam Bradford seems comfortable, Bradford was made aware early on that the Rams would not be drafting a quarterback in the first round, Greg Robinson at left guard right now during OTAs, having a veteran in Davin Joseph will benefit the offensive line, not sure how the Rams are going to score points & talk about the strong defensive line.
SEGMENT 3 – Joe Strauss: Joe not a bright eyed optimist, didn’t think Wacha was particularly sharp last night, lots of hard-hit outs for the Royals lineup, no power at all for the redbirds, says Matt Holliday is the centerpiece to the power issues, he hasn’t felt right all season, nobody in the lineup that scares opposing pitchers, bullpen troubles, not many alternatives at closer role, big issue with how Joe Kelly’s injury was handled, offense cannot support any more pitching issues, areas to address via trade, bringing in a late inning reliever could allow for Martinez to get right in Memphis, starting to look a lot like the 2010 Cardinal team, leadership issues in the clubhouse & differences between Matheny and La Russa.
