Representatives of Valparaiso head basketball coach Bryce Drew have been contacted by the St. Louis Billikens to presumably discuss the school’s head coaching vacancy, The Hollywood Casino Press Box’s Frank Cusumano reported Tuesday.

According to Cusumano, no discussions will take place until Valparaiso is eliminated from the NIT. The Cruasders take on the St. Mary’s Gaels in the third round of the NIT Tuesday evening.
Drew, who first came to prominence after his game-winning shot led underdog Valpo over Ole Miss in the 1998 NCAA Tournament, took over the school’s head coaching job after his father, Homer, retired in 2011.
Since then he’s led the school to four Horizon regular season championships (2012, 2013, 2015, 2016) and has been named the Horizon Coach of the Year the past two seasons.
