Last Thursday, I wrote a column soliciting local writers for the following new sections we'd like to debut over the next few months:

-Rams

-Blues

-Missouri

-Illinois

-Saint Louis U.

-Restaurant Reviews

-Real Estate

As usual, I dropped the ball and didn't include a few other sections for which I'm seeking new writers. Here's what I've got in addition to the above list:

-Poker

-Missouri State

-SIU-Carbondale

-NASCAR

-Movies And/Or Movie Reviews

-More STL Ladies Writers

I couldn't believe how many people sent emails expressing interest in writing for insideSTL.com...especially when it's pretty clear that these gigs aren't exactly going to get you a chateau in Ladue. I guess people just want to have a creative outlet...and I'm totally on board with that.

Perhaps the biggest surprise...and perhaps this biggest surprise is a commentary on the state of the organizations in St. Louis...is that I received more interest from people wanting to write about the Blues than the Rams by nearly a 2 to 1 ratio.

I'm flattered by the number of people that want to join insideSTL.com and contribute, and if you haven't expressed your desire to write on the topics given last Thursday, please send me an email as soon as you can at tmckernan@insidestl.com.
