The July 2009 Girl Next Door
Congratulations to Keri Kranz who won the title of insideSTL.com July 2009 Girl Next Door Friday night at Mike Shannon's. Keri won $500 and a spot in the insideSTL.com Girl Next Door of The Year Contest.
And, based on the fact that Keri told me that she didn't even bring that many friends to Shannon's...and still won the in-person crowd noise vote...Keri clearly has a large base of fans/creeps.
A few of the great Americans on hand at Shannon's Friday night said this month was one of the best ones we've had as far as beautiful lasses competing go. I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of our June girls in the mix for a wild card spot in GND of The Year.
Friday marked the first time in the two-and-a-half year history of the GND contest that we didn't have balllots of some form for the in-person vote. We just used old-fashioned crowd noise...because I was starting to get the feeling that Chicago mayoral elections had less shenanigans than a monthly GND in-person vote. So, the GND is now determined by the online vote at insideSTL.com and the in-person crowd noise vote...monitored by our insideSTL.com decibelmeter. Here are the results:

The insideSTL.com Sand Volleyball Tournament And Bikini Contest At Wave Taco
The rain screwed up the first two hours of the festivities Saturday...but then the sun came out...and the creeps followed.
Amazingly, a number of people were on hand to see Vivid girl/Penthouse Pet of The Year adult entertainer Sunny Leone. Sunny stuck around for a few hours and talked and took pictures with some of the fine folks in attendance...and then she got down to business right in front of us all...
...by judging the bikini contest.
Erik Johson of the Blues had to cancel, but Blues' goalie Ben Bishop still made an appearance along with our insideSTL.com message board reps itsvon, Big Al, and The East Side Jackalope. All were on hand to judge the ladies participating in the bikini contest.
As always, we had 10 girls commit to compete...and like clockwork...five showed up.
I now have a formula to determine how many girls will actually show up:
x=bikini contestants who actually show up
y=bikini contestants claiming they will show up
y/2=x
Our contest Saturday featured five ladies...three past GND's and two new lasses. After receiving a perfect 10 from the Jackalope, Ben Bishop, and Sunny Leone, the judging duo of itsvon and Big Al gave February 2008 GND runner-up Amanda O. a 7. Despite the harsh critique of itsvon and Big Al, Amanda O still had the lead growing into the crowd vote by one point over June 2009 GND runner-up Britney. Newcomer Amanda (without an O) was in third.
The crowd agreed with the judges, and Amanda O took home the $500 prize after she received the loudest ovation. Britney and Amanda (sans O) finished second and third.
Sunny said she "couldn't get enough of Amanda O's ass." While many of the people in attendance may have liked to have seen what that could've led to, all that actually took place was a lovely picture with the two following Amanda O's win.
For those of you that would like to see Amanda O in action again, she is scheduled to be in attendance and participating in our bikini contest at the insideSTL.com Summerfest August 15th at Bar 101. More details on that deal tomorrow.
