The Event
The goal was to find new insideSTL.com Girls Next Door by having an audition party at F15teen.
We had 10 girls registered at one point, and by the day of the event, two were kind enough to let me know they wouldn't be able to make it. However, on Friday night, when the time came for the festivities, of the 8 still registered to participate, 1 showed up.
Based on 2 years of Girls Next Door coordinating experience, I know to subtract about 2 or 3 from the number of every 10 who will tell you that they'll be in attendance.
It's really quite phenomenal.
However, the fact that 7 of 8 failed to show on Friday was record-breaking, so I tip my cap to them.
The Winners
Despite the comical amount of no-shows, we did have 6 ladies who registered at
F15teen participate.
Congratulations to our new Girls Next Door Tara and Liz who won Friday night's competition at F15teen.
Tara won the crowd noise vote, and Liz won the judge's vote. Tara receives $250 for her victory along with a free photo shoot with Jason Campagna of Sedura Photography. Liz receives nearly $400 in gift certificates from Genesis Cosmetic Surgery and F15teen along with a free photo shoot with Jason Campagna.
Timberfake Actually Shows Up
After promising to show up to the previous two Girls Next Door Parties, The ITD Morning After regular and "Dirty Celeb" from TheDirty.com Timberfake made an appearance.
He made three demands to appear:
1. Play Welcome To The Jungle when he entered the room.
2. A complimentary bottle of vodka.
3. Play The Oak Ridge Boys' Elvira when he left.
Because the DJ only had a techno mix of Welcome To The Jungle and Timberfake really wanted to have the opening guitar riff for his entrance, he settled for Sweet Child O' Mine. After I introduced him to the crowd, Timberfake and his security Big Juan stood in front of the room to make a speech. The address was met with what I would imagine the Rams' locker room looked like during one of Scott Linehan's speeches: a combination of disinterest and boos.
Nonetheless, Timberfake battled on throughout the night, carrying his bottle of vodka around like a security blanket...and later revealing that he had a tattoo on his right arm.

That fun fact isn't necessarily all that surprising.
The fact that the tattoo is a picture and autograph combination of KISS lead singer Paul Stanley is slightly alarming, however.
Next Up For The GND Contest
We'll crown the winner of the November Girls Next Door contest a week from Friday at Lucas Park.
The Girl Next Door of The Year Party is a little more than a month away. If you were at Lush last year, I don't need to tell you about the fun and games you can expect on Sunday January 18th. If you weren't there, I would highly recommend making an appearance. We combine the radio show with the AFC & NFC Championship Games and 14 Girls Next Door from 2008 all competing for the $2,500 first prize.
Already confirmed as celebrity judges: Cardinal pitcher Todd Wellemeyer and Paul Stanley fan Timberfake.
If you enjoy creepfests, the Girl Next Door of The Year Party is the mother of all events.
