When it comes to October 28th, there's nothing else to do but celebrate Terrell Davis' birthday. Remember how awesome he used to be? Then he blew out his legs twice over and became irrelevant with guys like Olandis Gary and Mike Anderson running ahead of him as healthy individuals. The first chapter of his NFL career, much like Kurt Warner, was Hall of Fame worthy.
The second and third chapters, however, never amounted to as much success. While Warner was able to rescue the Cardinals franchise from the depths of crappitude and secure his Hall of Fame resume with another Super Bowl appearance and great performance, Davis was relegated to early retirement and talking on the NFL Network. They don't give consideration for time spent with Rod Woodson and Rich Eisen, unfortunately.
Anyway, here's to TD. Next time you get a migraine headache, think of how bad it would feel to line up as a decoy behind John Elway when you can't even see a damn thing.
On to your afternoon links.
