This is not your Martha Stewart wedding, people.
When thinking of the beautiful, blushing bride on her special day, the following words come to mind: classy, elegant, lovely. I may be a single dude, but I'm pretty sure that in order to sustain such adjectives, the bride need not wear a Cardinals wedding garter.

But if that tickles her fancy, well then, Ebay is the place for her. Let's go to kristis_charmed_life for the product description. kristi... ... ...
KEEPSAKE & TOSS GARTER SET Handcrafted from ST. LOUIS CARDINALS FABRIC
The keepsake garter is gathered in sheer white organza, with a red satin band and a Cardinals fabric applique adorning the ruffle. A red and yellow bow and a shiny brass baseball adds just the right accent. In keeping with the "Something Blue" tradition, all my keepsake garters have a little blue bow in the inside of the garter. The toss garter is gathered in the Cardinals fabric and adorned with the same ribbons and shiny baseball charm. My garters stretch comfortably to 22". This is not a licensed St. Louis Cardinals or MLB product. It is however, hand-crafted from licensed St. Louis Cardinals fabric. I am not affiliated with or sponsored by the St. Louis Cardinals or the MLB.
I think what kristi is trying to say is that the garter is handcrafted from St. Louis Cardinals fabric. A little word of warning to kristi, though: expect a phone call from Bill DeWitt any second now, as I'm sure the prospect of making hundreds of cents off a Cardinals garter is bouncing through the owner's mind. The bidding closes in T- seven hours, so act now (or you can buy it now for the great price of $28.99 (!!!)).
As for actually catching the garter on her wedding day, it might be time to divorce your family or make new friends if you end up catching a St. Louis Cardinals garter. Thankfully, the tradition has changed over the years. If we still had the customs of jolly old England, we'd have serious problems.
In Northern England the old custom was for male guests to rush the bride at the altar when the ceremony was finished and remove her garter from her leg. In the panic this usually meant the bride was knocked over and trampled on. Gradually brides made garters easier to detach and finally to avoid threat of injury they tossed their garters away at the end of the ceremony.
That's a good thing because this guy would most certainly trample everyone.
